The thing is Robert despite Wembley being in the same place as the old stadium give or take a few meters other stadiums have developed and been built over recent years to a similar specification as Wembley but built in better geographic locations. Decades ago Wembley may have had a reputation for being the best stadium in the World but now there is better competition to argue its the best and for me its the surrounding area is its downfall.

New Wembley looks good but isn't a patch on the old one, atmosphere-wise. Even when you were stuck behind a pillar, miles from the pitch, the old place still somehow managed to generate a buzz.

It's not nostalgia either, just a fact. Sadly for all their facilities, new stadia just lack something. Shame really.
