Apologies for being sceptical from the start but is there any reason why these people can't claim benefits from the government? This is exactly what welfare is for - preventing homelessness and material deprivation.

static address? Job? The can claim but they still need those basic things.

 

Many of those becoming homeless are young people that have been kicked out by parents or ran away because of abuse or violent environment. Or they could be female victims of violence. Mentally ill people leaving care homes. Ex-servicemen. offenders just leaving prison. The list goes on.
