Winnershfox Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 No chance of that many tickets being available. There were only a few empty seats in the away end max 10. So where 200 came from.???. I was in the home end which was also full.
Monsell1976 Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 The police and clubs are saying that we are getting reduced numbers due to crowd control issues, I.e Birmingham, and then bournmouth not giving us the allocation that every other team have been offered, I believe 2000 normally. After sitting in the home end yesterday it's clear the line they are taking is going to cause big issues at some point, there was a few confrontations yesterday, and had not been bournmouth fans it could really have kicked off. It's about time city, the police and other clubs need to appreciate we are on a high at present and are going to take big numbers away, so where possible give a decent allocation, to prevent us having to go in the home end. Let's be honest we could sell a lot more than we are allocated, and most home ends are nowhere near full

But it has only started recently and you can't tell for how much longer this will continue, so authorities at opposition's home grounds can't really predict how it's going to turn out. Don't get me wrong, of course I'd like to see more Leicester fans getting tickets for away games. But it depends on the host club - with Birmingham, I could understand the frustration, as the match wasn't really well-attended by the home fans and plenty of space still available. Bournemouth, however, was a different matter. Smaller stadium and pretty much sold-out in the home end. That those 40 disabled tickets were made available was just down to sheer luck.

The home end at bournmouth was full of city fans, as the stewards realised to their horror at the end of the game, they average about 9000 at home, the attendance was 11000, and being down here, the hotels are full of city fans, and a large portion had home end tickets.I am sure playing city attracted a few more home fans but at a guess I would say about 500 plus were us in their end.
