Rincewind Posted 10 August 2005 Posted 10 August 2005 a matter of interest (or not) when the Olympics are on in London in 2012 CAMRA have Earls Court for the GBBF. The free accommondation is provisionally booked for any staff working there. The festival is the second week of the Olympics so it should be a good week with the addition of thousands of foreign visitors. Similar subject did anyone see the atheletics today? A pole-vaulter disrupted the rest of the round. He landed on the crossbar bringing the upright down which had cameras and other equipment attached. One for What Happened Next in the future.
Hitesh Posted 10 August 2005 Posted 10 August 2005 How come the GBBF have booked Earls Court so early?
Rincewind Posted 10 August 2005 Author Posted 10 August 2005 For some events you have to book more than a couple of months ahead. Seriously CAMRA were told that they could not have Olympia next year so they approached Earls Court who gave them a very good deal for the same price that Olympia charged so provisional booking was made for the forseeable future. Of course Earls Court can back down if they get a better offer but I don't know if that would involve lawers if that happened. CAMRA also has the accomondation provisionally booked for the workers. Still seven years away though so I won't book my time off work just yet.

Surely you won't still be a security guard in the same job Thanks for the info anyway. :w00t: :w00t:
