Matt Posted 20 August 2005 Posted 20 August 2005 I'd be happy if I actually had a mobile phone that works My mates always used to have problems with phones, dropping them, e.t.c, I have never had any problems, I used to have 2 phones, I dropped one (The first ever time I had dropped a mobile) and luckly it seemed to still work, Then one day tried to turn it on, and it doesn't turn on anymore, my second phone keeps switching off on its own, I came to switch it on today and it keeps saying "Wrong Sofware" and then switches off. So today (although my first phone been dead for months) I e-mail the makers of both phones (Motorola and Siemens) to see how I go about attemping to get them to fix them, my siemens phone had dodgy buttons when I first had it and I sent it away to be fixed them and had no problems, so hopefully i'll have the same experience this time. Years ago i'd jump at the chance and use any excuse to get a new phone, now I just can't be arsed a phone's a phone, and to be honest I think I could possible live without a phone (I would probably regret saying that) its nice to have a phone but i'm just sick and tired of mobiles, don't really care anymore! Anyway heard the mention of Mobile Phones and thought i'd have that little rant!

To be honest I don;t use my phone or chat I use it for texts. Which is what I would miss, but there are ways round that - E-mail, free texts via t'internet, or even start chatting again, but yeah as I said I would probably regret it.

Anyway heard the mention of Mobile Phones and thought i'd have that little rant! 160216[/snapback] Bought a new phone Got a Sony Ericsson K300i, £79.99, I went into Carphone Warehouse and they said both phones could probably be fixed but I might as well buy a new phone, because On my Motorola I would have to pay for a new connector to be fixed/fitted because thats what the problem was, and with my Siemens the software/downloads that needed adding may have been discontinued, so they said both phones could be fixed, and they would fix both phones but I might as well get a new phone, So I went and had a look at some phones I want a cheap phone which had most of the basics photo (Not a basic but its become more popular and more standard, so spose you could call it a basic) texting, calls, e.t.c found this phone and it was only £79.99 which I thought wasn't too bad, I didn't realise when I was buying it that it also had Video and music recorder on it, so that was a nice surprise, It seems quite a good little phone. Pissed off I had to give in and buy a new phone but i'm looking at it this way - Its a better phone than my old two, It works, Its the same tariffs as the other phones, and it was probably cheaper buying a new phone rather than getting the other two phones fixed! My new phone;
