Dyer replacement - do we need one?

Recommended Posts

One thing that we do need to replace now Dyer has left is his goals. He scored some vital goals last season and was our third top scorer in all competitions with 10.

For us to survive in the Prem we can't rely on our strikers to get all our goals, the likes of Mahrez, Knockaert and Albrighton will have to contribute, as well as scoring from set pieces this season.

He may have scored 10 last season, but in all previous seasons he was in the 4 to 5 per season category & everybody moaned about his poor finishing.

Agreed all will have to contribute, hopefully Kevin Philips on the coaching staff will spend time with the midfielders as well as strikers on their finishing techniques. Shouldn't forget Andy King in this scenario, as he is one of the best finishers at the club, so with theories of 3 midfielders or 4-2-3-1, King maybe in the centre
