I'm not sure if anyone has seen the Alan Barnes story floating around Facebook. In brief, it is the story of a disabled man that was mugged outside his house. A local girl set up a charity page to help him move house with a target of £500. I've seen it jump £20k in the last couple of hours. It seems to be increasing exponentially at the minute.

Going viral these days can be positive or negative, but there is no doubt it is bloody powerful.

There's stories everyday of older people being beaten up/robbed in their homes and not an eyelid is batted.

EDIT : and 3.5 hours after posting that its almost at £200k. I really hope that its not just Alan that benefits from this, thats a huge amount of money that could help people in a similar situation.
