Stuliasz Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Millwall 0-1 Leicester City 14 March 2009 Jack Hobbs claimed his second man of the match award in as many games with an authoritative performance at centre back at Millwall on Saturday. It was a generally impressive display from City with Hobbs' main competition coming in the form of midfield duo Matt Oakley and Tom Cleverley. Steve Howard was unlucky not to make the top three after an impressive display capped by the winning goal. Lloyd Dyer's return to the starting eleven showed no improvement on the performances before his rest after comfortably being voted Leicester's worst performer at the New Den. Tranmere flop Joe Mattock just missed out on the award again with centre back Michael Morrison also struggling again after finding himself in the bottom three. SussexFox Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 He deserved it - even their fans (grudgingly) said he played really well
Mikey Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Deserved, was a rock. Also harshest voter, 5.42, what game was he/she at?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 i dont think dyer was that bad he actually did a hell of a lot of defensive work on saturday
Dan Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 hobbs did do well but how in gods name did he get it for tranmere, he was absolutely diabolical for that game
Guest Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Was a bit surprised that Oakley didn't get it to be honest but can't begrudge Hobbs as he was also immense on saturday
wirralsimon Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 hobbs did do well but how in gods name did he get it for tranmere, he was absolutely diabolical for that game So was everyone else! It was an award nobody deserved to win. Simon
Scow Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 I didn't vote but the order looks spot on. I'm glad people can look beyond Mattock's supposed 'potential'.
lcfcadam Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Yay! I'm the top/fairest voter! Still can't quite work out what that means but it's the first time I've got it...
Stuliasz Posted 17 March 2009 Author Posted 17 March 2009 Yay! I'm the top/fairest voter!Still can't quite work out what that means but it's the first time I've got it... It means you weren't generous and you weren't harsh (you were closest to the overall voter average).
