  1. The constant repeat of every consultation document having the opening pages about communication needed to improve is a sign that it’s not improved. Further strengthening my belief that it was the strong protests and the crowd at the West Brom game which really pressed the club into action.

Increasingly common that the fan engagement framework isn’t working. It’s words. No actions are being acted upon. Fundamental agreement on things such as the away priority scheme (which in turn directly affect ID checks situation - which is an irony I’ll come on to) have delayed by a year because of a survey where people who benefitted form status quo voted for the status quo because there was never a clear description of a proposed new system.

The games which will be cause issues next season on away games are places such as Bromley or Cambridge where the allocations are so low. The issue is good luck finding somewhere at their ground on their biggest league fixture (in their history in the case of Bromley) which is willing to provide the facility with the agreement of the Police too (who at smaller grounds don’t want away fans hanging around for a hour before).

I've seen countless teams announce friendlies already now. I'm sure that every single year we seem to announce ours late, manager or not

Yep and it's a very easy win with fans to give them a friendly in the summer they can look forward to. Whether that be home or away.

  3. It doesn't need to be Top or Rudkin to do any communication. Davies & McCarron have been put into position to do that job.

It's a constant point that the lack of information means a load of speculation gets put around.

This is precisely why they wanted season tickets done and dusted by June. Because if the renewal deadline was mid June, more would have sacked it off by now.

  4. I never really have an issue with the timezones. World Cup is truly international, they have years doing the same for European based ones. So many ways of catch the goals/highlights etc. In the process, bit like 2002, you get a load of memories thrown in - even the 11pm shift with England V Italy in 2014, where England's World Cup never got better than Sterling's goal. I see England's perfect path includes a 1am in Mexico.

I’m over for this one as well. No idea on sports bars but as far as things to do in Boston, so far I’ve got…

Freedom trail walk- it’s mapped on the pavement and guides you around key historical areas/buildings.

Whale watching tours- booked onto one of these and it’s about €70 I think which in the grand scheme of things isn’t too bad for the states.

Salem is a short train ride away. You’ve got Quicy (I think) market which looks like it’s got a decent variety of food.

I’m there from Tuesday night so I can let you know. The fan zone might be a good place to watch a game but you need to pre register to get in and even then it’s first come first serve. I’m watching USA’s first game in there, terrified of the ultras after seeing the videos this week.

If into your food, OnlyScrans Boston video on YouTube worth a watch

How many clubs have actually disappeared?

So many of you need to keep a sense of proportion and stop with the headless race as to who come up with worst possible scenario.

    Seek help!!!!!!

They normally require a takeover to stop that slide however

    That's out of order.

They messed up in a difficult  situation, one has resigned let's see what the investigations and IPC say but let's not hound them to another possible  tragedy ffs

Certainly more to gain than placing in cuffs an 18-year old lying on the ground posing no threat.

Which is exactly what my post refers to in the second paragraph

    Planning a trip to Scotland.

Got the week off after the World Cup so will have a couple of days in Stranraer (jealous eh!)

for their game with Edinburgh City on the Tuesday followed by Queen of the South v Aberdeen on the Wednesday.

Depending on the conference league draw there's a possibility of either Hibs or Motherwell having a home tie on the Thursday.

QoS has a brilliant terrace while Dumfries is quite a reasonable place to visit. I saw them in the League Cup a few years back.

The murderer wasn't put in handcuffs at any point when being taken to the police station despite what became clearly evident. Once there, he was even allowed into the kitchen to choose his food. No idea if this is routine practice for all. Henry's Father's statement references the 'unbearable' contrast with the treatment given to his son. This has to be the catalyst for change.

The investigation, including IOPC, report has to determine if a member of the public is being presumed guilty if they have been accused of racism. Kemi is right. Enough of this.

On that point though, what's to gain from putting him into cuffs or the awareness that they might not trigger an allergic reaction with food? That part of the Police behaviour isn't in question. They have a situation in control and that would happen in such example if felt appropriate.

It's the first part of the sorry situation is incredibly poor policing leading to uncomfortable questions.

  11. Trying to see if I can justify a trip up to Scotland in July for the Scottish League Cup fixtures. Went Aberdeen for work yesterday and called into Pittordie. Marvellous old fashioned. Literally ground - golf course - beach.

If anyone is particularly aching for live, competitive footy this summer, the Under 19 European Championships are taking place in North Wales this summer. Wales games are all at the Racecourse, Wrexham (steelwork finally going up on the new stand there). However, you have Denbigh, Bangor, Caernarfon as other venues. You have Croatia v Serbia at Caernarfon!

Kind of true however they came out and tried to play and score against us and that season we were just better at that than them - we really struggles against a low block under maresca- I could look at it in a way that at least they tried to play and have a go - we were just better at it with that team - they were better at it than 19 other teams in the league that season which is why they got promoted

Yeah but that’s precisely the point. Martin will play the same tactic again and again and again. He doesn’t change. Hence the whole Rangers debacle which is very comparable to the situation he would have here.

    Personality wise he’s also insufferable.

But you want to see lots of goals and playing enjoying themselves. 0-0 tells you they took it way too seriously and had no quality to go with it.

Somebody said it was bringing back the memories so I flicked it on for a few mins. Quality was absolutely abject (and we've got a good reference point for that!)

You’ll find recently retired professionals won’t think that way. They still want to win. On both sides.

  14. I get why Arsenal had to go low block but ultimately after the first half, they had absolutely zero threat on the counter attack. Their subs in an attacking sense were horrific. Gyokeres played like a pub player. Martinelli has zero intelligence. Most of all Arteta showed some poor in game tactics. Nuno Mendes was cooked from 75th minute onwards. Arsenal should have been really targeting that side of the pitch. Most of all though the tactics tired them out. A few of them looked absolutely shafted by the end

Pretty sure Ajax got games moved when they had a run in it

Becoming a very common thing. Inter have had it too. The PSG was more of a story because it involved a game they were playing against their nearest title challengers
