Nah they are just being idiots with the block openings - they've opened another block now so try again. From what others were saying yesterday they've still only opened 3 of the 6 blocks in the upper tier

In fairness Jim got back to me, said that the rigid selling order is dictated by Charlton, but he was going to take away the point about opening blocks quicker.

They really are idiots. Opening them up to All STH at 8am with about 25 seats in E block. All at the front, which I didn't want, so waited for them to sell out (took <2mins) then a nervous wait, I have things to be getting on with! Fortunately they opened F at 8:08 while I was still by my laptop. Took the extra time to email the club and suggest that they explain this bizarreness. I understand the general point of a selling order, they don't want to open up 3,000 seats at the start if only 1,000 will sell (that's worse for fans too), but this is ridiculous. Anyway looks like members should get a chance at this one, at least!

I arrived for the West Ham game about 10 minutes before half time (delayed flight) - they were closing the turnstiles and hurried me in. Not sure how they could have denied me entry even later than that, though, given I have a valid ST, but would have been an argument with the stewards …

I am grateful to the club for emailing me this just now ... Don't know if this means it technically made All STH so there's some chance of returns. More likely their email broadcast system hadn't updated. Anyway, will sit around hitting Refresh like a loser.

Got a ticket in their posh seats, planning to take inspiration from the flask brigade at the KP who manage to sit through 90 minutes without reacting to anything on the pitch

My sob story for just a single ticket is, having done nine-hour round trip drives from home in Essex to Blackburn and Swansea in the past month, was gutted that this local game didn't reach all STHs - so if anyone finds themselves with a spare in their party I'd be an eternally grateful buyer!
