That was John Barnes, no?
Maybe in terms of popularity, but Wiki says even Barnes had a win percentage of 65% compared to Mowbray's 51%.
-
**** ME - Tony Mowbray's first language is English ? Well you learn something new every day.
Had to give his wikipedia a read after that discovery. Quite a boring man.
Also says he had a win percentage of 51% at Celtic, yet still went down as the worst manager in Celtic's history

-
**** ME Tony Mowbray's not Scottish? Well you learn something new every day.

It's a shame they've all assumed we really care about them. I reckon they've slipped to our 3rd rival, whereas we must be their 2nd. Our big day indeed. Mind you I assume Cov will be gone for a long time so they will eventually regain their place, good for them.

Sad that every bookie in the land (even layers on Betfair) seem to have understood that Falcao & Atlético is basically printing money.
Only 5/1 for him anytime & Atlético win away at Valencia today. Still be on that with a fiver though.
Radamel Falcao ATGS 5/6 fill your boots lads.

Man U, Chelsea, Spurs treble pays nearly 4/1 with Billy Hill.

Whitbread, Morgan AND Konchesky are our weak links?

-
On the delusions thing, I do worry that I've made so many tongue-in-cheek comments about us being massive, more than a club, a British institution etc, that I reckon I've started to believe it.
(we are massive to be fair)

Ipswich Town
13 January 2011 Present 83 29 18 36 34.94 stats aren't appauling.

Two words: Paul Jewell
I was hoping for a more elaborate explanation but that does it explain it too. He hasn't always been a shit manager though has he? I know he flopped with the sheepshaggers but before that he'd been decent no?
-
Anybody know much about Ipswich? How and why have they declined during the last few years? Have they spent much? I'm not sorry for them but am interested.
-
Maybe the continuous loans are part of the reason they're seen as 'crap' as they never get a chance to settle and feel at home.
They are footballers, not Siamese cats. If part of the reason is about continuity and stability, it is a very small part, and the rest of the reason is down to a lack of ability. Delfouneso's loans have been augmented with little ventures into the Villa squad where he has done nothing. I think he has 12 goals in 69 appearances for all clubs since he started out, not great. Mind he is still only 21, but in any case he is terrible, and will end up playing in L1 or lower sooner rather than later, and you can quote me on that.
-
How long before they realise Delfouneso is awful? Literally the most anonymous footballer I have ever seen. No idea what his level is but how he's stayed on the books at Villa so long I will never know.

Ah Wings, the band the Beatles could have been...

Knocky, wherever you may be, you eat frogs in your home country,
could be worse, you could be a tree,
pretending you don't care about LCFC
-
Haha the whole 'we don't care' thing makes me laugh, they really can't stop themselves can they?
-
Yeah, I can really see a load of blokes singing Chaka Khan on the terraces...
Singing it in the same voice is optional.
-
Still think the Chaka Khan/Liberty X one for Vardy has the best chance of catching on - lyrics translate perfectly, easy to remember and everyone knows the tune, plus after the chorus there's the little 'der der der der da-der der der' bit where everyone can just go mental.
All together now:
Jamie Vardy,
Scores for Leicester,
Makes me happy,
Makes me feel this way,
Jamie Vardy,
He loves Leicester too
der der der der da-der der der.....

Thanks for restoring one of the most historic threads ever.

Top 3 along with the Yuki Abe pictures and of course 'Kermo was decent' for me.
-
This was so funny.
-
Surely this guy can't go on officiating matches? I hope both clubs make complaints, this kind of thing is not right at all.

OP has had an absolute 'mare here.
