Really hope it's not Skubala. The position we find ourselves in is no position for taking a gamble on an unproven manager who's had half a decent season managing 1st team football in the league below. That said, it likely will be him simply because Rudkin will love the fact he was a former P.E. teacher.
Doesn't make him a bad coach - I think Mourinho was a PE teacher.

It's not so much that we operate like it's our first time - it's that we decide to sack the current manager in isolation about who the replacement is. I'd rather have had Cifuentes in charge that King the last 2 games.
Surely the board meeting that decided Marti was gone had to also discuss 'OK but who are we going to get in and how close are we to appointing them?'. We seem to only start the process of identifying, let alone appointing, a replacement after we've sacked the previous guy.
Is there some sort of employment law that prevents us from sounding out replacements before we sack the current manager? I've no idea how to build the dataset for comparisons, but I wonder how long most other clubs take to appoint replacements? Surely they don't take 2+ weeks like we do?
I wrote something similar earlier - I'd be kind of ok with the time frame if after 2 weeks a new manager was a credible replacement, but we spend weeks looking for the new guy only to appoint someone inferior.

I've come to expect this under the leadership of Top and Rudkin. Cifuentes was hanging on by a thread for months, yet when the pull the trigger, it comes as a shock to them that they need to find a replacement. Potential managers should have been sounded out before the Christmas period and identified as who would come jn and start straight away when they sacked Marti. This is a re-occurring theme, sack a manager, no idea who will take over and the the downward spiral continues.

It's probably been said several times in this thread so I'll repeat what many probably think - If he had a shred of decency or integrity he'd resign. I'd still have little respect for him, but at least it would be seen as doing the right thing. He doesn't need the money and his buddy, Chum Top, would probably give him a decent pension.

It’s going to be Javi Garcia. Experienced. Free. Just left Watford.
Distinctly possible that Gracia might be considered, but if he resigned from Watford because of lack of support in the transfer market this January, I think he'll realise he's jumping from one sinking ship to another.

I can't for the life of me think why Enzo would contemplate coming back here. We've no money, we've no decent players to play his style of football and we are facing a points deduction, which would seriously hinder his remit to keep us in this league. Added to this, he's already had first hand experience working with Rudkin so he knows how useless and ineffective he is. He may well be offered a king's ransom to keep us up, but he hardly needs the money after his pay off from Chelsea and no doubt another top job awaiting him.

I've seen several comments lavishing praise on Winks and suggesting he was at the centre of a much improved team performance yesterday. I saw a player doing the basics while not stretching himself, not creating anything of note, and not contributing anything special to what the team did. He made one tackle, and created two chances (by comparison Chowdhury made no tackles and created one chance in half the time). I saw Winks give a perfunctory performance against mediocre opponents who beat us comfortably and were content to sit on their lead. To his credit, he didn't make any costly mistakes, which I suppose qualifies him for massive commendation in our world. We set the bar very low these days.
I hear what you are saying, but I saw much more improvement with 10 men once he was introduced, than I've seen in many performances over the past few months with XI men. I'm not saying he was outstanding or did anything that was overly dynamic, but for me he moved the ball quicker and forward and got into positions where he could score. I think if Ayew puts the penalty away, the potential victory may not have been so comfortable for our opponents.

He needs to replace one of the full backs going forward, I think he's a bit too slight to be a CB at this point
Thought he did well yesterday, but found it slightly strange we had a young centre back on the bench (Kevon Gray I think) yet King chose to play a young inexperienced right back there.

Neither Mahrez or Enzo are at the club to boo them.
Hamza says he accidentally liked the tweet, only he knows if that’s true but it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve done that and I dare say I’m not the only one.The COVID thing is clutching at straws for an argument. He shouldn’t have done it and he was rightly disciplined for it. It was in no way a deliberate goading of the club and supporters in the way that Winks’ post, during a game, was.
Come on, Hamza has had more than one major issue whilst at LCFC. Liking contentious Palestinian Tweets, drunk driving, alleged tweets after Sheff U game. The COVID thing is hardly clutching at straws. Society were having to follow strict rules and because he's a well paid 'footballer' he thinks he can do as he pleases and rules don't apply to him. I honestly wanted to club to sack him, along with others, who broke the rules. Losing loved ones is a high price to pay and when footballers simply flout the rules because they can't restrain themselves like most others had to, it's a complete lack of thought and a 'couldn't care less' attitude.

Hamza hasn’t stuck 2 fingers up to the club and fans in the same way Winks has.
Probably worse - when everyone had to follow COVID rules, he decided to go out and party. That's sticking 2 fingers up at the club and supporters.

Winks should not be tolerated. Clubs with any self-respect (ie not us) wouldn't.
How should we respond? By hounding out the symptoms and letting people know we don't tolerate the dismantling of the club. To not treat a bloke who hasn't started a PL win in half a decade like he's above us.
Can't have dual standards though - I agree poor behaviour shouldn't be tolerated, so if that's the case why is Hamza still here?

For me, it does make sense.
The players loved him and his coaching apparently. Minus a decent striker, left back and a ball-playing GK, he’s pretty much got the same squad he had when we pissed it. I can see him using Nelson as a LCB and obviously Riccy moving into midfield as a converted RB.
Two key elements of his success, along with KDH and Ndidi. Not sure Ricci P is the player he was two years ago and can't play 2 games a week (it looks like Choudhury is out for a while), who would partner Vestergaard now Faes has gone (perhaps Okoli) and unless Mavadidi finds some form that has been seriously lacking, half the team is missing from 2 years ago.

Nay for a couple of reasons
1) He hasn't the time to make these players play his style effectively, particularly as we have no keeper who can play out from the back like Mads did.
2) There isn't the quality in the squad to play his style effectively
Also I can't see him risking his reputation, which at present is quite high, coming to Leicester with the real possibility of relegation.

Yes shocking - but he was available for selection according to King.

And you don’t see how players attitudes aren’t an issue? Winks is a cancer on the team.
Yes, I do, but neither you or I know the details behind the problem. On the surface Winks' behaviour is totally unacceptable. This alleged behaviour happened whilst King was part of the management team. So for King to bring him back, maybe he feels the issue was more the previous managers rather than Winks. Saying Winks is a cancer is just an opinion, and for the record I tend to agree with you, but how many players have come out and said so. All I'm saying, is based on what I saw today, he improved the performance when he came on. Yes we conceded 2 goals (neither his fault) but we looked more threatening and had Ayew converted the penalty, I think we may have got something from the game.

Hilarious. Happy Clap FC.
Just because someone has a different opinion to you they are happy clappers. This comment is typical of some on here. I'm not a HAPPY CLAPPER as you suggest. I think the club has been run into the ground by Top and Rudkin. I don't clap at the end of games. I've been vocal both home and away at how poorly our club has been run, but because I suggest Winks is one of our better midfielders and I will support the new managers decision to play him, it makes me a happy clapper. Absolutely pathetic.

Not saying he's to blame, I'm saying he isn't a good enough player for us to decide we have no morals. He didn't turn us into world beaters today did he?
But he's much better than what we have available at present, isn't he?

I'm torn about going. On the one hand, the club I've supported for over 50 years needs my backing to encourage the team on the pitch and to help get us out of this dire situation, yet on the other hand I want KP to understand that the way they are running the club is pitiful and by not attending this may be a visual sign of mine and others discontent.
A secondary consideration is 'do the current crop of players deserve my support as they don't seem to put in any real effort or look interested in playing for the badge?' - Perhaps our logo 'Foxes never quit' is misguided - and visiting teams read this as 'Foxes are Sh1t'.
Lastly, I go to games hopefully to be entertained. I don't like losing, but I'd rather see us lose playing entertaining football rather than the drab excuse for football I've seen for the majority of the last 2 years. Honestly, not being able to muster more than a couple of shots on goal against some of the opposition we've faced this year is pathetic.
