  1. Top will probably put a clause in that he must be retained, even promoted.
  2. Just the toe part would suffice
  3. How will that work when they've sold 23 500 season tickets + 3 200 away allocation?
  4. We've already lost a million on add ons in one day. Get this done today.
  5. I'm not defending Skipp, because he's genuinely poor for the money we paid, but there was a patch last season where people said he'd had a really good game. There were several games at home where he was one of the better players, namely in the game when Okoli got sent off early on. But I do agree with you, he needs moving on as for the money he's far too inconsistent.
  6. I'll take that rather than every game being knackered after 65 minutes
  7. Whilst he could be extremely frustrating and often chose the wrong option, he was one of very few players over the last 2 seasons who got me off my seat (so to speak). He had the ability to create something out of nothing through his own ability, often quite spectacular. I'm sure with the right coaching, he'll be able to develop his game and become a better all round player. Good luck to him and thanks for some unforgettable memories.
  8. When did this happen? Have I missed some news?
  9. Not sure if people fully understand that all of the sales so far are going in to paying debt off, not improving the squad. It'll take two or three more sales before we start reinvesting, I'm led to believe.
  10. Good God no - I'd rather try what we have. My mate is a tractor boy and rates Hirst as one of the worst forwards he's seen.
  11. Yes, but we haven't got £8m to spend, even with these sales. I think it'll take the sale of Nelson, Faes and probably Souttar to release these kinds of funds.
  12. Yeah, but unfortunately it all go on paying back debt
  13. Get this on the back of your shirt Elijah Anuoluwapo Oluwaferanmi Oluwatomi Oluwalana Ayomikulehin Adebayo who plays as a forward for Luton Town.
  14. We've only seen them in friendlies and I agree they look very good, but I'm not sure I'd like to start the season with Thomas as my only relatively experienced defender, should Nelson, Faes and Okoli all be sold, no matter how bad a couple of them are.
  15. I still feel a mix of some new experienced players who want to be here, like Chaplin, would be a good blend to have.
  16. Yes, so good so far, but any success could be hindered by the lack of players we can bring in. Whilst I've been very impressed with how the academy players have performed in pre season so far (as they did last pre season) we can't expect a starting XI made up of 8 or 9 academy players an expect them to cope through a 46 game season. IMO we 5 or 6 signings of the Conor Chaplin standard to ensure we have the right blend of youth and experience.
  17. From what I understand, we need to raise £40m in sales before we can start spending, otherwise we could be in trouble again. I'm not sure if BEK sale counts in that £40m, but if not, we've still along way to go and it will require the sales of Fatawu and a couple of others before we can contemplate purchasing anyone.
  18. Out of interest are there any senior players from last year you feel we ought to keep?
  19. Don't think we've got any money to spend
  20. From what I've seen so far, we have controlled most games - be interesting to see how we get on against the Spanish teams who in all likelihood will have much more technical ability than those we've played so far (albeit not as far into their pre-season). I'm looking forward to seeing how we manage when we are under a bit of pressure.
  21. Don't be sorry - I remarried and ended up with a better deal
  22. My wife wasn't happy with me and replaced me!
