A game is 90 minutes look. We have better quality in our substitutions than they have on the pitch. Fresh legs will be the answer if we can score. It will most likely be a late goal again.

When you are playing against two banks of 4, who are narrow and deep, you need to draw them out by moving the ball quicker. This game needs Yanus.

This is how the Newcastle fans felt last season, when we played like this against them.

It’s done and I’m over it. I just want our £100m from Everton and it would be nice to see them get relegated. That’s football though. We are a better team this season and I’d argue with this squad, we’d have been tipped to be mid table had we been in the Premier league.

Also case in point, Liverpooo have benefitted from many VAR decisions. The one time they’ve been screwed, the world is ending. I was reading something earlier, that at the end of February last season, without VAR, Liverpool would have only been 6 points above the relegation zone.

If the offside rule went back to being “daylight between players”, VAR might actually work better. The handball rule in current form works. If the ball is smashed at you from point blank range, a bit of common sense needs to apply. Anything below the elbow is not handball. Some decisions like penalties, red cards etc are always going to be subjective. I’d argue that waiting on a penalty call, adds to the drama. If used correctly, VAR works. I would like to see it used more like it does in rugby, with direct discussion with the VAR official.

Not if you take into account with what happened in 15/16. That Wolves side was okay. I don’t think they’re as good as Fulham a fews ago, or the Newcastle team that were in a similar situation to us now.
