  1. Mandaric did alot of harm to the club and that cannot just be overlooked because he put the money in too. He's first and foremost a business man. He buys bankrupt or nearly bankrupt clubs and sells them for a profit. He was not bothered at all if he was giving us away to some consortium who would lead us down the same path as Portsmouth. As shown by his disgraceful treatment of Nigel first time around. I could not believe what I was reading when he claimed credit for getting us in the premier league because he started the wheels in motion.
  2. Both to blame really. If I remember rightly Allen didn't want Hasselbaink because we had Carl cort. Having said that, if you are going to employ a manager than let him live and die by those decisions. I wonder how much Mandy changed his approach by the time Pearson got here. All the signings made in league one seemed to be from Nige
  3. The modern day Leicester City legend
  4. It was definetely to do with Stringer. Can't remember the exact reason but I know there was some sort of altercation (someone will probably remind us) Drinky always did interviews with sky after a game so was certainly not a limelight problem
  5. Spot on. Its actually quite scary how contrived this is getting
  6. Always makes me how shit other clubs forums look. Judging by the state of the place when I visited for our 2-0 masterclass though, it looks as if they have to queue up at the local conservative club to book out a computer
  7. How can Burnley fans not realise he says what he says to boost his own reputation in the media. His football focus interview he described them as the biggest underdogs in Premier League history. Even if this was true, surely as a Burnley fan you need to question why that's the case? Marvin ****ing sordell? He may not be blessed with many pound notes but the ones that Lee Fat man Hoos prints for him are spent like a ginger monkey on meth
  8. I disagree. If he'd said we will go down because of lack of experience but players like Mahrez and Knockaert will cause problems then I'd say fair enough this man has watched us and had something to base an opinion on. Its only when we've established ourselves for at least a season we will get any sort of reasonable prediction about us. I find it absolutely laughable that QPR can finish so far behind us and sign a couple of players and all pundits back them to finish comfortably above us just because Harry Redknapp is a household name. It's staggering he still has credibility in football.
  9. I agree that it is they're job to focus on that league so they'll naturally know more about it but it also shows the snobbery of the former pros to only watch top flight football in their spare time too. As a football fan I watch as much televised football as possible, seems these people would turn their noses up at Brentford vs Wolves if it was on their sky box
  10. We've known for a long time that Premier League pundits have a very very limited knowledge of anything outside the Premier League top 6. This knowledge is shown for all of its flaws when they have to talk about anything to do with the football league. You almost feel sorry for Sky sports pundits compared to BBC because they can't get away with it as easy. Alan Sheared can talk about how poor Lukaku plays against us first game of the season until 20 games in he realised Wes Morgan is a great defender, old merson has a microphone shoved in his face for his opinion in July and comes up with "Leicesters a nice place"
  11. Those games at home were still some of the best football I've seen us play. Ever. Really should have gone on and smashed into the play offs that year. Glad everything worked out well in the end thigh
  12. Dion Dublin comes across as a clueless **** in that video. Pundits will never understand the atmosphere side of the debate. I hate how people say we are chasing a good atmosphere at the risk of another Hillsborough. That simply isnt the case at all. It's a system that has worked for a long time now in Germany. Supporting your team at home is absolute shit for fans these days. Especially if you are in a relitively new stadium like ours where fans have been unable to really establish standing sections where its acceptable for a big area to stand up. This just leads to away teams constantly out singing the home support at virtually every game around the leagues. Another point to make is grounds still have old fashioned terraces like Peterborough last season (where it is no exaggeration to say we could have had our own disaster that day). Is anyone really saying this solution is worse than leaving grounds with those sort of areas?
  13. To be honest i think the average Championship fan watches their own team every week while paying mild attention to the teams around them. They only have a 'comprehensive' knowledge on teams the media love to bang on about, and from that only take in the opinions of pundits like Blobby Savage. Not saying this is the case for everyone but you'd find it difficult to find someone who studies our side week in week out and would know things like Vardy's improvement or how great Liam Moore has been. It will always be players that have the best stats on Football Manager like Nugent or Wood to these people.
  14. Not only do you speak alot of sense, but you have a cool display pic Nice one WE HATE FOREST SCUM
