If he goes we riot!

As much as people might be annoyed, personally I don’t think he starts above Ayew as the striker in Marti’s system. Ayew is a better player than Kone.

Has to start. He’s clearly a better player than Mavididi and with his age he’s got so much scope for improvement, the more exposure the better at this point.

He is dog shit bless him.

Don’t get quite the calls around him having no pace. As a left back he’s not quick enough but he is definitely not slow and he would definitely compliment Nelson as a centre back partner (the 2 are good friends from his time here). Nelson/Okoli/Doyle to be the main 3 CB’s moving forwards would give us a good combination of height, athleticism and technical ability. I would definitely have him if we can find the right deal.

FollowThe Heathcote Arms, Croft was the Leicestershire pub of choice for new Leicester City manager, Marti Cifuentes and his assistant Xavi Calm, after a little explore of their new county this week.Drinks, chatting with locals and fans, and fish & chips, obviously.P.S. If you're local, The Cheeky Cod's pop-up fortnightly on a Wednesday at the pub.P.P.S. This lovely community pub is featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and well worth a visit. Good choice, Marti.Cobs on the bar. Beautiful. You’ve heard of tapas Marti but you ain’t had a burnt cob filled with Red Leicester and raw onion lad 🤤

No Monga or Nelson from the start are the biggest issues I have with this side.
-
I think this would be the best 11 we could make from the players currently available:
Jakub
Ricky P
Okoli
Nelson
JJ
Skipp
Bilal
Fatawu
Page
Monga
McAteer
-
I’m going out on a limb to say he’ll be in with a shout for a Ballon D’or before his career is over. He does things that a 16 year old shouldn’t do at this level of football. It’s genuinely like watching Ronaldo when he first broke out for Man Utd all those years ago.

At the moment I’d pick this for Sheff Wednesday based off pre-season so far.
Jakub
Ricardo (even rusty he’s far too good for the championship if he can get fit)
Okoli
Nelson
JJ (much better LB than RB)
Skipp
Bilal
McAteer (Fatawu to come in once he’s full ready to go after ACL injury)
Page
Monga
Ayew

Louis Page will see a lot of football this season with his engine. I’d love to see his running stats at the end of his shift today, he’s been everywhere.

Nothing else matters apart from Jeremy Monga and Page being exposed to this high standard of football. They are both incredible prospects, the likes we’ve never seen before in truth.

The manager not being here tells you a lot. Like mentioned by others this is clearly a majority of players who want out with a sprinkling of the youth who aren’t quite ready yet. Ben Nelson the exception though, he must surely be still carrying a knock because there’s no other explanation as to why he’s not started/gone to the Koln match.

It’s all gone so quiet on the shirt front hasn’t it.
Could it be because the “alleged money laundering” idea has been shelved as the kit leak scuppered the plans to make Kbet look legit?
All hypothetical from my end, don’t come for Anthony.

I’d like to see this next time out just to be tested:
Jakub
Ricardo
Okoli
Nelson
Thomas
Soumare
Page
Fatawu
Bilal
Monga
Ayew

I get McAteer wants to be a winger but if he’s serious about playing at the highest level he can he needs to think about changing position, he’s clearly the weakest behind Monga, Fatawu, Mavididi and Evans. He should be in the managers ear about playing as a striker, let’s be honest he can’t be much worse than Daka who seems to have lost all confidence in his own performances.

Page, Monga and Alves for sure need consistent game time in at this level. I think it might still be a bit too soon for Evans.

Give him the number 9.

Alves deserved longer than that. I know it’s only pre-season but Ndidi has been abysmal and by all accounts he doesn’t want to be here anymore.

Jeremy Monga is ****ing incredible. It will be interesting to see how Mavididi responds to being leap frogged in the pecking order.

You could tell he fancied Skipp from the clips the club put out. The thing that really bothers me is playing Wout Faes, the blokes got mental fortitude the equivalent of paper mache, yeah he’s technically good but the blokes a shit bag.
