  1. Going to be an interesting build up, still think Haye will smash Bellew.
  2. I hope the recent uncoverings of abuse in football weren't a contributing factor to his death. Speed grew up in the same area and was an active young player around the time of the other victims. Very sad all the same though, what a great player he was.
  3. Interesting one. Bellew's on a hot streak and has had regular fights against top opposition whereas Haye's been scrapping pub doormen. Still think if Haye catches him with a good one it'll end it there and then.
  4. Benn is a decent prospect and stood out when I watched him on the undercard of GGG vs Brook, his hands are ridiculously fast in the flesh. The only issue seems to be he lacks patience and as a result get's tagged very easily. As he get's older and most likely heavier it'd be a promoters dream to see that fight take place.
  5. Should dispatch Molina really. Can't really blame Joshua for taking the fight if a big scrap with Klitschko in the Spring is on the cards, especially at short notices, don't want to risk unnecessary injury or even defeat.
  6. It'll be an interesting match, the big fights just keep on coming!
  7. Haye's coming back after 3 years away from the ring, he's hardly going to be fighting the likes of Klitschko and Wilder is he? The last two contests have been one sided and poor but have been aired on a free channel, if the public want to cough up the dough to attend then that's their decision, everybody can see these are warm up fights. Bellew put in a great performance then made himself look a tit by going off on one like he did, Haye would smash him if the two meet. I don't see how they will market the fight with no belts at stake given it'll most likely be at heavyweight.
  8. I would say Joshua's got all the attributes of a top heavyweight, It'll be interesting if Haye goes in with Briggs, we'll really see what level he's at then.
  9. Hayes said he will take the fight but I have my doubts, always talks big then pulls out and fights a bum instead. Wembley would be bigger than o2 but weather could be an issue.
  10. Yeah good shout, should be smashing that standard of opposition if he wants to reach world title level. Joshua vs Klitschko looks to be edging nearer though.
  11. Whyte looks in much better shape than before but ability-wise looks like British level is his limit. Don't like him as a person and see him as an average fighter. Burns was run close in that fight but the scoring was atrocious.
  12. Fury must have snorted a line between those two tweets.
  13. Not surprised in the slightest about Fury, hopefully he's made all the money he says he has and can retire. Perhaps he can give some to the fans who are now out of pocket.

    Musa

I havn't been impressed so far with him. As people have said before he does look lightweight and not as fast as I thought he'd be. Given time though to adapt and get used to the Premier League he'll be an asset hopefully, Vardy so far this season hasn't looked a great deal better than Musa.
  15. Well what a night that was! Really good undercard with a cracking view from our seats, pretty much anywhere in the O2 gives you a decent view of the action, far more enclosed than it looks on tv for sure. Conor Benn is ridiculously quick, it seems faster in person and you feel the punches more, even from the upper tier. Thought Callum Smith wasn't anywhere near as good as he's being talked up to be, Paul Smith impressed me more. How judges reached a 117-111 scorecard on the Haskins vs Hall fight i'll never know, all round confusion when that was read out. Charlie Edwards looked out of his depth against Casimero, decent fight and a great shot to end it but still early on in his career. Incredible how many people miss out on the undercard and turn up 5mins before Brook made his entrance, only in London I guess. The atmosphere for the main event was unreal, properly intense and up there with the best in any sport I've watched live. Great to finally say I've had the pleasure of watching Michael Buffer announce a big fight also. It was like a Rocky fight going to and fro and I was amazed when Brook backed Golovkin up and made him hold on. I feared for Brook when the first body shot landed in round 1, how he took that when others like Macklin crumbled i'll never know. Proper heart. Everyone was confused by the stoppage, especially as Brook seemed to dance around and play the 'you're not hurting me' card. There was an ugly feeling afterwards as the alcohol began to take effect and some were clearly looking for a fight. On reflection knowing what we do now it was a perfect decision from Dominic Ingle and averted certain disaster. Great account given by Brook though and surprised many. GGG is just ridiculous though, cannot see anyone beating him.
  16. Yeah that's pretty much my thought. Prince Naseem was banging on about an 11th round KO for Brook, I just cant see it happening. Stick and move and do what Mayweather did against Pacquiao would be the best strategy I could come up with, easier said than done with the way GGG cuts the ring off with the only alternative being to kick him in the balls to get away.
  17. Indeed. What worries me is Brook hasn't had a big night in a few years since the Porter fight, admittedly through injury and supposed avoidance by others. Still, sometimes miracles happen when you least expect them.....
  18. I've watched his fights against Macklin and Murray and highlights of the rest, its hard to find a weakness. Perfect footwork, cast iron chin and a repertoire of punches that hurt. Oh and he's actually a nice bloke on top of it all.
  19. Ahhhh get yourself a twitter account and follow Eddie Hearn or keep checking the Matchroom website. This is my first live boxing event but I'd recommend the buying method from the O2. Stubhub is reportedly safe to use but its bloody extortionate!
  20. Yeah it shouldn't be too tricky getting tickets for AJ while he's knocking over bum's. Just be savvy with the selling details from Matchroom or Hearns twitter feed. I wouldn't bother getting fightpass as theres only a select amount of tickets for a shedload of members.
  21. I was pretty lucky, just followed the selling details from Eddie Hearns twitter, didn't bother with fightpass or anything like that (even they missed out for the most part!) I logged onto the o2 site around half an hour before sale, into the virtual queue and struck lucky with my selection, its a pain to get them but worth it for such a big contest.
  22. Good luck! I backed Frampton v Quigg for a draw at 50/1, almost got it...
  23. Heart says Brook for an upset on points but head leaning towards a Golovkin bomb in the middle rounds ending it. Still can't believe I got tickets, waited 9 minutes and the event 'sold out' in 11mins.
  24. Cannot wait for Saturday now. Manchester Derby, Old Firm Derby, Liverpool v Leicester and straight off to the O2 for the big one. Undercard looks impressive and its set to be a big night. Struggling to see past a GGG win but Brook will give him a test, what a night it would be if Brook could pull it off.
  25. I'd imagine its done 'toad in the hole' style on a large flat tray, bring it out the oven, filling in the middle and wrap it while its still hot and pliable, just watch your fingers!
