Very difficult to replace Pep, I don't think anyone can do that, but I can't see them being so dominant under Maresca.
I agree and wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t go according to plan

No one’s mentioned Barry Fry ?

Skubala would be a very good signing for them, but to be honest I can see them going for a "bigger name", I think they might go all out for Scott Parker. Pure guesswork from me

Parker wont come to a league one club. He will go championship. Bristol City most likely.
He comes across as thick and inarticulate but I think I rate him and would be perfect to get us out League 1 and hopefully back to Prem in years to come.
I think he could be a good fit

Rather keep rowett that have Darren Ferguson. That’s this years preki surely.
How about Darren and his dad as assistant and Harry Redknapp talking it up

I didn't even know Pompey were playing, that's how much I care about what happens. They won. I still don't care.
same with me 😟😟

Since Rowetts appt…..we got 3 pts….and possibly 2 of those could have been wins with more luck.
There is yet to be a noticeable bounce with new management but that’s in part due to the dross he is dealing with for various reasons.
A win at next home game is essential or I think it’s game over but I also expect it to go down to the last game which may even be out of our control by then 😟😟

Not overly impressed by his first interview, too generic for my liking and disappointingly no mention of the club’s history. However, he’s a former player and deserves our full backing. Not convinced at this point that any manager can halt the decline though.
I see relegation as a certainty as his or any appointment is too late now.
Its really a question of if he or whoever can get promotion from Div 1
I hope to God I’m wrong but I can’t see an escape route

Give it the gravel eater until June
He won’t want it if he’s got a pay off and doubt he’d be interested.

We have got to go after Thomas Frank, perfect fit and sits between a suposed small club like Brentford and a suposed big club like Spurs.
He would join us at rock bottom, bring some new ideas and Leicesters wingers would certainly fit his style of play.
New start for all, we hurt badly and crave some stability, he must hurt and want to prove people wrong.
He is a good manager that does not just go bad overnight. He built Brentford but inherited Spurs.
He is akin to Nigel Pesrson who most of us know was the bedrock of our greatest triumph.
I would support him
I would love to have him…..always liked him and thought he would do well at Spurs but it just goes to show how often this switching for bigger clubs goes horribly wrong.

So you would rather give it the wrong person till the end of the season then give to a pointless candidate? Andy king is not the man to keep us up, surly there is a better candidate out there who can get more out the team then king?
How about another King ?
King Charles

Like they did with Ruud? Right?
Gerrard would be a disaster.
On same level as Rooney…Adams..Pardew…Bruce to name a few.
Don’t see King having any influence so need someone asap but God knows who

So we are trying to lure Maresca back until the end of the season with a lucrative package.
Be interesting to see if he takes it up…..if it’s huge money to save us from relegation then I think he would help out.
It would be the best outcome to steady the ship and allow us time to find the right manager for next season.

Martin appointed (reportedly)
in Leicester City Forum
Posted
I’m as shocked and disappointed in the supposed appt of Russel Martin as the new manager as most on this thread.
Aside from his footballing management abity which is debatable I simply don’t like or warm to the bloke from my limited observations of his interviews.
That said……the current state of the club with the powers to be in charge offer limited hope and it’s possibly the best appt following Cooper Ruud Cifantees and Rowett for the fact he has managed in higher leagues and needs to prove / rebuild his career along with us so there maybe some alignment that will work and get us out this division on the first attempt which I believe is crucial.
All this talk of Chalinor ( who I understand has always got teams into playoffs ) is fine but surely we want someone that can go that higher level and aim for top 2 auto promotion slots and he just maybe able to achieve this at first attempt out of league 1 but I don’t really know and feel generally disillusioned with everything.
At least the World Cup is giving a welcome distraction
