You are absolutely right to call that part out. I don’t disagree with your concerns. My mentally at the start of this season and remains and will remain for the entirety of this season is that we have 38 games and I want 17th. I don’t care how we do it but we have to. For the future of the club. I fear for us going down to the championship again, it won’t be plain sailing and we have the world’s greatest spa resort around our neck.

Very short sighted and I appreciate that but I also doubt our board and the decisions they will make. We are not Bournemouth in that they sacked Parker and hired a fantastically innovative coach - our board doesn’t have that in them. When under pressure they’ve hired Smith and Cooper.

So yes, I don’t know what happens in the 2nd season but for the first time in a long time, my thoughts with the club are very much here and now - I think the next few years and the division we are in are absolutely humongous to us. We can’t go down this year.

Bilal, Facundo, Mav, Fatawu have to do what they need to do to make sure Cooper can’t drop them.

I wish I could see that, I really do and i’d very much like to be on here in a few games time, eating a massive slice of shit pie.

Pretty sure there’s just going to be reinforcement of the notion that Cooper was a disastrous appointment.

That’s what I thought initially but I think we might get random games where we get a few wins and consistency that if it can keep us in touching space of safety throughout the season I would take that.

i believe Coopers signings are ok for what he hopes with hang in with a chance of avoiding relegation.

i think if Marsessa had been in charge for these games we wouldn’t have scored 3 goals all ready and possibly conceded more goals.

The club is not anticipating relegation. It's all very well saying 'one step back, two steps forwards' but reality isn't that simple. Getting relegated represents huge jeopardy - if things don't go to plan and you fail to get back up quickly, you can end up in obscurity for years.

If it looks like we're heading for relegation at the end of October, Cooper will be sacked.

I see it that Cooper will play ugly football with limited plan but he will also get results and I don’t think these average signings are as bad as people make……I read the Palace forum and many posts praised Ayew ( forget the name ) and he was hard working and fairly decent player and disappointed with his departure.

i just think if we can remain in the bottom 3 but be in touching distance of getting safe by end of season that would be like competing for the title.

Its imperative we don’t get relegated as I worry we won’t  be back for years.

we just got to find a way to nullify and hope things click enough times to get some wins and draws and stay in touch.

It's not mental. At worst it's a year longer than what most would've liked, but we don't know the actual terms of the contract, so we are speculating on very little information.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is on reduced wages, with the trade-off being an extra year on his contract so the total value stays the same.

We would then get to reduce our wage bill and even have secured him for longer.

Maybe there is a clause allowing him to leave early for some pay off if it all goes pearshaped. Maybe there is some safety with reduced wages upon relegation or even realistic release clauses - we just don't and likely never will know.

Bare minimum with this squad was to be challenging automatics which we are so a success up to a point.

To let the lead slip, winge about the fans and to make some rather strange selections, leaves me with little confidence in him being as good as he thinks he is. Some of the passing for the sake of it is pretentious drivel as is his waffle about his tactics. Most teams have sussed us out and games are now a struggle as he doesn't seem to understand that changing tactics is not a weakness in betraying Enzo ball, which is boring to watch a lot of the time. Be a miracle if we stayed in the Prem with Enzo in charge, but it will be hard for any manager.

Vesty is nowhere near as quick as a sloth doesnt react.

Still not sure doyle made any contact attacker defo hit his own trailing leg to fall over maybe due to contact but VAR were suoer quick to decide ?

I think it’s harsh as just clipped him and nothing sinister and very different to an obvious foul on the last man denying scoring opportunity…..a yellow would seem right to me…..but it’s so black / white now it’s irritating.

    Maybe, maybe not.

Leeds were as poor v Stoke as we were v Sunderland.

Lots of twists & turns yet.

If we win tomorrow, that will be a huge result, not defining, but will send out a massage, after a difficult week off the field.

    Keep the faith.

I have a massage after a difficult week…not always happy ending.

    **** me I’m absolutely seething.

In sick to death of this rubbish ruining my weekends.

I can handle losing when we fight but the mentality of the players and coaching staff over the last 3 years has been appalling.

Off to the Co-op for some Alcohol and chocolate 😂

Absolutely agree….wine choc n cheese is my therapy.

losing today and 3 on the spin is unacceptable and I don’t see automatic anymore.

I`m chill dude, but i`m not seeing amazing, potential maybe, but riding our luck so far against mediocre opposition with lots of other teams banging in far more goals than us

I agree….Personally I think we’ll start slipping down the league…..we’ve been poor so far and lucky to win all the games and yet to face anyone half way decent….I hope I’m wrong but I think this Enzo guy has zero management credentials.

In my humble opinion we have one of the best owners in football. His family has brought success to the club that no one ever imagined would be possible. If the muppets on here and with in our fan base abuse him and his family they should be ashamed.
Relegation is heartbreaking but I honestly believe we will bounce straight back. We won’t be stronger has Rudkin and Rodgers have torn the heart out of this club with allowing players contracts to run down like they have. But we will be back and we will recover and hopefully we can rekindle some of this success.
Puel when he was here brought in some of the best players we have seen in last 20 years little did we realise when he left the mess Rodgers would make of Puels legacy.
I for one would rather have Puelball back then what we have now.
    WE WILL BE BACK

    When….10 years

Given we need two results, ours and Everton’s, I just have a feeling one will fall in our favour and one won’t. I don’t know which way but it just feels like either we will both win so our win means nothing or we slip up but so do Everton, like with Chelsea two years ago!

    I was thinking likewise !

The missed pen against Everton completely done us we score thta pretty sure we would have gone on to win and doubt Everton would have beaten Brighton the week after. Maybe if daka shoots against Leeds instead of passing to vardy offside we get a win against Leeds as well. Ah well not like we haven’t had enough chances to sort out selves  out just haven’t been good enough

Totally agree….That pen miss was massive…..gave Everton impetus to go beat Brighton…..did us in mentally for sure.

  13. Despite losing 5-3…..maybe the ability to score 3 goals today could give us hope in the remaining games that if we can fix some defensive issues there is chance of getting shock win v Liverpool and West  ham.
