  1. Has anyone heard of The Gateway Tapes? I’m posting here as the CIA allegedly looked into it and of course, looking into that kind of thing can lead you down various rabbit holes.

Anyway, interested to know if anyone else has given them a go and how they got on. Myself, I’ve got to a point where I can get into Focus 10 (completed what’s known as the first tape). For anyone that doesn’t know what it is, it’s essentially guided meditation with binaural beats. Focus 10 is described as mind awake, body asleep. My experience of Focus 10 is complete calmness - I’m aware that I have control over my body should I want to move, but I’m completely relaxed and can’t feel my body. Usually when I’m awake and fully alert I’ll always be moving, even if I’m not aware - I’ll have urges to scratch an itch or similar but not in Focus 10. It’s as though my body is completely asleep.

Eat fibre (chia seeds, chickpeas, lentils, any fruit and veg, wholemeal carbs, nuts). It’ll change your life.

Greek yogurt, chia seeds and chopped strawberries was my go to when cutting out processed sugars.

It depends on the shoe itself but I think you are getting there. Stick your hand in them and feel where your toes land, how much cushion is still in them? Then check the bottom, much sign of wear?

Ive got some ASICS Superblast 2s with 500 miles in them which are still going strong but are showing signs of damage now.

Turns out, very little! Will keep them going until the end of the month then on to the next pair.

Probably one for 'grinds my gears', but I swear more and more people just do not have any concept or awareness of other people and I'm not just talking about when they're glued to a phone.

It seems to always me be that has to move out the way for people in the street, or when I'm driving down tight roads is crazy. Like, if I just took the same attitude or approach I'd constantly be bumping into people. It's so frustrating.

Yeah I’ve noticed this. A pavement that can comfortably accommodate 2.5 people and you’ll get a couple walking side by side, not giving a **** for you approaching.

Really do not understand supposed Leicester fans claiming they want Forest to stay up.

Yes it would be funny to see Spurs go down but it will be infinitely funnier to see Forest go down.

I don’t want Forest to stay up, but I’d prefer Spurs to go down. Forest are likely to go down in the next few seasons in my opinion. Spurs relegation is just a bigger deal and more damaging to Spurs. It’s not even a rivalry thing for me, I just want Spurs to go down as the bigger story.

Will check the inside tomorrow. I checked the bottom of them the other day and they looked almost brand new tbh. I reckon I could buy a new pair in a few weeks time and the current pair could become my bad weather pair.

  7. How many miles do you lot tend to put through your trainers? I bought a pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 late December that have been great for me, but I’m thinking they might have started to feel a little flat / dead. I’m on about 250 miles and since buying them I thought I’d buy a new pair at 300 miles and rotate / slowly retire the former pair.

Giving the place a wide berth, I see.

I think this has been typical for years, at least for most of the western world. That said, there would usually be traffic from nations friendly with Iran flying over, I think.

I don't agree with the US actions here - not a fan of the Islamic Republic of Iran - but it's no business of the USA at all what they do, and they obviously have nefarious motives rather than any kind of benevolence as claimed.

However, did everyone saying it's Trump also say the same against the Democrat "military interventions" i.e. Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, Bosnia, Kosovo and Libya? I think the US needs to be called out but I don't remember Obama being called out like Trump is called out.

Fully aware I will now be called, again, a Trump/Farage supporter etc. so go for it! But the point stands.

I agree. I think the blokes a buffoon, but I don’t see anything out of the ordinary here with regards to US foreign policy of the last few decades.
