At what point do we start calling these times of political tensions at home and abroad as “the pre-war years”?
We probably won’t be able to do it after the war, so let’s just go ahead and start now.

You make it sound like that's only an Islam problem. When it quite obviously isn't just that.
Not quite the 'gotcha' you think it is.
Wasn’t intended to be a gotcha. I just can’t sit by as Islam is described as for the most part peace and love. Maybe selective peace and love would be more appropriate.

There are many older white people that still squirm at us gay people. Everyone laughing about pronouns and whatever too. Muslims in the uk aren’t stopping anyone from being gay. Again what do you suggest we do about it?
First point on older white people that still squirm at gay people - agreed and in my view and most, is wrong.
On Muslims in the UK not stopping people being gay - because they're thankfully not able to. Are gay Muslim’s in the UK unable to be openly so, due to religion and culture? I’d say so.

Islamic ideology is for the most part peace and love. Maybe the divide is really just on how much we believe Islam is a force for ill or don't believe it is (not the same as believing it's a force for good, as I'd rather we had no religions).
But not same sex love, right?

“This is the consequence of far-right politicians scapegoating Muslims”
There’s more to this one and I don’t think it’s a crazed axeman as the headline or narrative being pushed would suggest. -
Went for a run today after the half on Sunday. Think I went a day too early as my legs felt quite heavy towards the end. Think I’ll rest up until next Monday now.

he’s got 14 games that’s if he dosent throw his toys out the pram again
14 games to worm his way into a new contact
90 k per week - your having a laugh
Don’t think you have to be a “king power flag hugger” to be mildly pleased that a player who is being paid a significant amount of money is putting a shift in at a time it’s needed the most. It’s possible to be happy about this and not want him to be given a new contract.

Managed 1:46:44 in the Leicestershire half. PB as it was my first. Watch reckons it had 720ft of elevation gain which was a killer!

Been hard not running as much over the last week in prep for this weekends half marathon. I know it’s for the best but I want to get out there!

Thoughts and prayers for anyone out there this morning. I was going to do a 2 hour bike ride and called it off at 40 mins because my hands, feet and face were in agony they were that cold.
7 miles for me. It’s the first time I’ve been out running and had big red splodges all over me afterwards. Assume it’s where I’ve been blasted by the windchill. Serves me right for going shorts and T-shirt

Well that’ll stop me playing the recorder whilst I drive. Can’t do anything nowadays.

The entities making the money from AI rather than people I guess?
What worries me about this is there will be an exclusive group of billionaires (this already exists, I believe) that have ownership of AI that probably won’t have any use for the general unemployed population. Not sure how it plays out at that point.

Oh yea, it's suicide even for the AI companies. Some people will get rich in the short term and then everything will crash.
It's changed massively in the last 2 months so it's not gonna take 10 years to really start to impact society. Later this year, early 2027 is a conservative guess.Without taking this to the tin foil hat thread, there’s been some high profile US folk talk about non human intelligence and there’s a lot of rumours around the year 2027. I do wonder if when they talk of non human intelligence, it’s in fact AI and 2027 coincides with the point of singularity or something.

Great article here:
The tl;dr:
I’m struggling at work because of this kind of thing. By struggling, I mean struggling to be motivated with my future career. I’m a primarily a coder and feel as though career wise I’ve got potential to move on and climb the ladder a little bit, should I want to. I just can’t be enthusiastic about any of that when I look more into AI. Even if I feel my role could be shielded or I could adapt to coexist with AI, I can’t help but think of societal collapse.

How we didn't sign a lb in the window astounds me. I dont hate him as much as other cus he does try hes just shit. Its the players on astronomical wages who are better then **** me off. Eg ayew.
I have a terrible feeling in my gut that the club thought signing Thomas on for another 4 years was quite the coup and he’d be in this bracket. His wage would far out weigh his ability.

Does Skipp jump for headers with his eyes shut?

That can look as harsh as you like, but what was the point in that kind of lunge there?
