Once the game was abandonned that was always going to be the outcome. It's unfortunate for Buxton. It seems Dave Hilton has bigger issues than this with The Athletic outing his criminal past. Seems like he's considering selling up.

What would you do? Unless we bring someone in the midfield will stay one-dimensional. Reverting to a back 4 means Wes York at RB, or bringing Alex Dean back in. Having Robbo back at centre half will make a difference, but I'm not sure how far away his return is. The Luke Shaw experiment in the 10 role needs to end. He just doesn't seem to know how to play the role and subsequently is never in the game.

We seem so easy to score against. Nuneaton didn't have to play well today to score 4 and win. And going the other way we were predictable with the long ball, and then when we try and play it's in areas that are tight and congested. There's a massive George Wilson shaped hole in the team. On the bright side, we have one more point than Rushall did at the same stage last season.
