  1. I’m looking forward to it. I saw City play there NYD ‘92. I can’t remember much about it except being in the Bristol Rovers end.
  2. 5ft 9", but you've seen him play and bully defenders. He gave Robbo a torrid time last season when playing for Hednesford at our place. I firmly believe he'll make a difference. Putty being injured is a big blow though. Ash should probably have had a hattrick after he came on, but it's good to see him back in the goals. Will you be making the trip to Bath?
  3. Danny Newton at Brackley Town is one. He got a contract at Stevenage after being in the academy and has slowly worked his way back down the pyramid since.
  4. He’ll give us something we don’t have. A forward who can hold the ball up and compete in the air. I don’t think we’ll have broken the wage structure for him.
  5. It certainly looks like it. The first game they’ll be available if we win tonight…Nuneaton at home.
  6. Looks like both may have signed for Coalville. Nothing official yet. https://southern-football-league.co.uk/players/CoalvilleTown/2023/2024/2297/P/Position/
  7. McManus has gone too. There were rumours at Redditch on Saturday that a few players had walked out after Friday's game. I'd take Lita at Coalville for the rest of this season, but as you say, his wages will probably be too high.
  8. Gateway college, the Soar Point and Castle Park. The Shed. Dominoes. BackTrack records. Abbey Park festival. The winged lions on the Town Hall Square fountain. Filbert Street. Beeping the car horn through the undepass on Vaughan Way after a City win.
  9. I don't see why Jake was dropped. I thought he did well and his kicking is superior to White's.
  10. The build up play between Tim, Gooch and Putty for the second goal is excellent. It wasnt just the goals. He dropped about 3/4 clangers in the game that didn't cost us. It's a pity Dean Snedker received a 4-year ban for betting breaches.
  11. Look at Whitey's participation for their third goal. We concede so many goals from set-pieces and rarely threaten with our own. If only goals scored from open play counted, we'd be a lot closer to the top.
  12. His form took a dip around the end of November, and yeah, Stevo hardly needs much of an excuse to replace him with Shaw. It doesn't look like we'll see much more of Ash Chambers this season. He's been struggling with injury for almost a year now. I've heard we're after a target man.
  13. The real Coalville turned up at Redditch today with a thouroughly deserved 4-3 win. We needed to win today to have any hopes of making the top 5 IMO. The winning goal from Terrell Pennant was an incredible solo run.
  14. We’d better win tomorrow. If it’s on…
  15. I wish they'd just play itat Newbridge behind closed doors and get it done with atthis stage haha If they do that I’m breaking in. I’m not losing my consecutive games streak for anything.
  16. I think this will be an option. Banbury pushed back the Trophy game last season by 24-hours to get it on.
  17. I think there was more rain last night than the previous Tuesday. 9th Jan looks like the next available date unless it gets switched to Coalville for tomorrow. The Wealdstone/Billericay was switched earlier today after a third postponement.
  18. This is my worry. They’ll be so desperate to get the game on and then the match ref comes along and postpones it. At least it isn’t that far to travel.
  19. Me too, but no pitch inspection planned.
  20. The forecast looks a lot better between now and Tuesday so fingers crossed it only impacts the Telford game.
  21. I fear for tomorrow’s game at Walsall Wood given the forecast and the amount of rain that fell on Thursday. Hopefully, it’s on as it promises to be a decent game. Cup games are also to a pain when they’re postponed as they take precedence over league fixtures.
  22. Last night was a good measure of what Roddy will give us, which is a little bit of everything. JDC is back on Saturday, but then suspended again for Telford - I’m not sure why. I think Roddy will start on Saturday.
  23. He was mostly a spectator but what he had to do he did well. He didn’t have a chance with the goal. Whitey needs some competition with mistakes creeping back into his own performances.
  24. A helping hand from Cook for the first goal.
  25. Not only did we win the game, we dominated. Some classy goals tonight and probably the best 90 minutes of the season. I really hope this is the corner turned. Both Roddy and Andi were superb in the middle and the front 4 ran riot.
