  1. I’ll go early and have a look around the town.
  2. One of the best bits of the game against Stortford was early on when the ball went out of play, and I caressed it on the half volley back onto the pitch and their no.5 went, "love that".
  3. Does anyone know if another Leicestershire club has previosuly made the last 8 of the Trophy? I know there's never been a Leicestershire side in the final and Coalville are the only Leicestershire side to make the final of the Vase.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if JG turns up at Barwell.
  5. He's also bringing an assistant in Brian Borrows who's played over 600 professional games and won the FA Cup.
  6. This is from an interview Ian King did when he joined Worcester City as a coach in 2016. He's got the contacts you wanted. Hopefully having the experience of playing and coaching at professional and non-league level will allow me to play a part in getting the best out of all players at Worcester City FC. I have a thorough knowledge of both levels and lots of contacts in the professional game as well as at this level. I like this bit too. I am a bit of a football geek really, therefore, any opportunity to watch and study the game is really all I do if not with my young family.
  7. His Barwell team has always been a difficult side to face in the few games we've played, especially at Kirkby Road. Maybe this means Brady Hickey & Beck-Ray might follow too? It might also mean the end of a couple of long-term servants to Coalville.
  8. A hard rain's a-gonna fall. At least it doesn't affect any league fixtures. And Chambo might actually be fit by Tuesday.
  9. Owen Archdeacon for Barnsley in the FA Cup reply at Oakwell. Not as good as Julian's goal though.
  10. Very true regarding the postponed games. We’ve had 4 in total, 2 in 3 days, but the Nuneaton game doesn’t count now. I wish I had your faith, but I’ve given up on the League campaign. I hope I’m proven wrong.
  11. I wonder if we’d offer free entry to Nuneaton ST holders if JG was appointed?
  12. Bu the abuse Glyn has had online today is also totally uncalled for. It's all left a bitter taste ahead of what is the club's biggest game ever in the FA Trophy on Saturday.
  13. That’s so poor. Adam deserved an awful lot better than that.
  14. One positive to take. It gives Ben Hart a chance for some much-needed minutes. I suspect Jake Hutchings will play too.
  15. For anyone not aware, as it hasn't been publicised, Coalville play Hinckley LR in the Challenge Cup on Tuesday at Leicester Road.
  16. It would've been a good game 11 v 11. Can't fault the effort today, but that's twice in the last 2 seasons we've ended up with an outfield player in goal.
  17. I'm holding out for the 4/5 game winning run to catapult us as the league is so competitive this season - look at St Ives at Mickleover. If we can have a consistent second half of the season I think we'll make the top 5, but at who's expense is impossible to predict. I think I counted about 10-15 Coalville fans there tonight. Weird rules pertaining to drinking alcohol at Telford too.
  18. Whitey saved us twice in the first half. That's two consecutive competent performances from him - maybe things are turning? It was important not to lose tonight with Telford losing 4 points from Nuneaton resigning from the league. 3 big games between now and the Trophy which could define whether we make a play-off push or languish in mid-table.
  19. We lost our nerve when it mattered. Even with a congested schedule we still should’ve got the required points. Rushall deserved to go through against us and should’ve won it in the 90 minutes and ET.
  20. Probably not, but after 23 games last season we were 5/6 games behind. This season we’ve played 3 fewer cup matches. If being in the semifinals of the Trophy means Kettering away on a Thursday, I’ll be ok with that.
  21. We should be fine. There's 3 games to rearrange and lots of spare Tuesday's between now and April.
  22. The top 2 meet at Scunny this Saturday. If Tamworth avoid defeat then they have a great chance at back-to-back titles.
  23. 7 unbeaten now in all comps and we're yet to string together a significant run of wins. It's a very competitive league with a lot of games left. Redditch were joint top two games ago and now they're 5 points off it. It can turnaround very quickly.
  24. If it was a choice between seeing Coalville in the Trophy final at Wembley (very unlikely I know), or seeing us play at the Don Amott Arena in a play-off semi-final, I'm picking a walk down Olympic Way.
