Hopefully they go at it from the start and push for more goals. Keeping the ball away from the back is making such a difference. The slow goal kicks don’t work. It feels like we haven’t had many chances though other than two wonder strikes. Sub Ayew because this is where he will cause us more problems than the opposition.

Fatawu is shit at times. Braindead player. Constanly gives away foulz in dangerous areas. Slows everything down as he wants to skin players. JJ broke free but Fatawu slows down so he has to pass backwards not into the space. He then runs into trouble.

Ayew lasted 25 mins, now’s he’s give up even trying to pretend.

Does Fatawu know he can run into space without the ball to receive it

Nice to see him make his first pass this season when a player overlaps.

And played on the wing instead of Fatawu and Mav. He has made the 10 his position for now. Doesn’t over play, looks bring others into play and can shoot. He has improved unlike Ayew

A lot of the team can learn from him. He don’t turn back and takes a shot quickly, unlike Mavs chance.

Jakob with his brain dead play out the back. Stand still, invite a press then pass to a player being marked so he has to punt it clear. He needs to play quickly

The basics quickly which he is good at. He needs get some more step over content.

If JV doesn’t control tempo and piss around the back, I think we’ll win. If they play the ball back from kick off until they are pressed, we’ll lose. If they kick the ball forwards and attack they’ll win. It will set the tone.

And give them chance after chance to do the same thing. You could play the both once or 100 times and learn nothing new. A manager with half an idea and balls would change how they play and contribute or drop them and risk Evans. We have nothing to lose by not playing Daka & Ayew .

And Leif Davies will be rinsing Ricardo and Fatawu. Maybe it will remind them that they are allowed to do the same thing. Get the ball to JJ quickly for him to slot into the space left by Davies. Hopefully Fatawu has remembered his brain for this game.

Marti will keep him on till the end again and make the team it weaker by dropping him deeper to not chase, press or pass the ball. He’s shattered after 45 mins of falling over and hobbling around. The 2nd half he couldn’t even bothered to stick his foot out when a players walked the ball next to him. Lazy and greedy.

Let’s see if they have added tactics that have proven can work, like a one two running into space and cross. Doubt it though.

Ricardo and Hamza are both the same on the pitch now. Neither are leaders or add anything to the team. More of the famous Ayew hold up play when we need to attack, yet in the second half he won’t even bother to press, drift onto the left wing and never pass the ball.

Of errors or forward passes?

He is useless and boring. Him, Hamza and now Ricardo all play the same way. Always the backwards pass as the first option. I hate seeing him call for the ball after 10 sideways passes only fom him to already have his hips positioned to send it back, usually to a player already under a press which they all caused. He seems to always be in a position to not provide defensive stability, help get the ball out the back to winger or when he gets forward doesn’t cross but takes too long and looks to send it backwards. The Derby game was just an anomaly we will never be able to explain.

He’s good at passing the ball to Ayew or Daka with their backs to goal, they struggle to control it or smash it back. It gets pounced on by a player that actually presses, IV lunges in and misses the tackle and is adrift in the ocean. They score. This hadn’t barely worked and we look slow and boring when we try it. Nelson to Skipp to JJ quickly and we look a lot better. JV can’t help but make it all about himself, but he is the cause of this rot. The passing to the wingers feet instead of into space is annoying. It was great when KDH would do that yet now our wingers stand still. It does work though when they can be bothered We need an actual coach to drill tactics into our wingers as they are either void of ideas, lazy or arrogant that they can just skin people and that’s their job done. All of the above.

Rinse and repeat. It’s frustrating to watch when the winger is unmarked but JV has to control the tempo create chaos.
