We might not get a choice, they’ve just updated my ticket to the Charlton game. 🤷🏼

Last season (especially once Fatawu was injured and there was literally nothing to be positive about) you could pick a whole XI of players it was reasonable to heavily dislike for one reason or another.
Ward (if he hadn’t made himself unavailable)
Kristiansen
Faes
Vestergaard
Coady
Thomas
Soumare
Winks (Skipp if he was on the Aperols)
Mavididi (probably the harshest inclusion but jesus he’s frustrating at best)
Decordova-Reid
Ayew
Not just because they’re shit but for practically all of them attitude-wise too (a lot of people hate Daka but he hasn’t got a bad work ethic, he’s just the worst striker you could have bought for £23million).
Justin a lot of people hated too but he’s clearly a nice guy who always tried hard but had a shocker of a season surrounded by dross. Hamza’s lucky he was out on loan. BEK was more of a retrospective bellend.
And only two of this XI have gone permanently.
That’s the worst case of recency bias I have ever seen.

I doubt more than a couple of hundred will boycott (I will be one of them) beyond the few thousand who are staying away each game. Pissing in the wind I’d say.

I think that was because it was a unique occasion.
Because of the snow and gridlocked roads, the attendance was so incredibly low, that they simply couldn't publish 25,000. That would've been laughed out of court!
26,000 during lockdown would have raised a few eyebrows too.

Bloody raging that I can’t forward my ticket to my dad because he’s over 65. When will the club learn not to alienate their own supporters?

Never mind Rudkin, the biggest issue facing this club is the attendance against Shrewsbury 42 years ago.

I think you're referring to the 0-1 defeat at the start of the 87-88 season.
The above 6k post is for the 3-2 win in 82-83. Attendnce was 6155 if i remember correctly.
Yes I was, and as an anorak myself, I tip my hat to you for remembering that! 👏

I'm old enough to remember approx 6.5k vs Shrewsbury at Filbert Street in the 80s.
I actually heard Geddes’ jaw break at that one.

Think l heard this last match if the right song, was it on songs from the dressing room?, it was before kick off. wasn't bad.
Yeah it was, they’re playing it again cos I missed it. They’ve got some really good original stuff (I’m biased) just need a break.

My Son-in-law’s band are going to be on the playlist pre-match tomorrow. Please listen out for Circles by Twinhead (formerly LNC).

I reckon he'd suit Wolves.
Meaning he’d change divisions 5 times in 3 years, got to be a record that has.

Anyone know the quickest a club has gone from winning the top flight to third tier?
Eerily our last game will be 10 years to the day after our EPL win.

I get the sentiment but it's a shit post "non-league attitudes", complete load of rubbish.
I watch Ilkeston Town regularly and their player’s application and effort is way beyond this rabble.

First goal is an incredible mistake from the linesman really. If you can't spot a player half a yard offside from a set piece then what are you even doing in that job.
Reminiscent of the Man U goal last season. I expect this has been mentioned before but the 2nd looked offside too, Sky didn’t mention it.
I also think the ref had a rush of blood with the 2nd yellow for Bade, that sort of challenge usually gets a talking to, similar to Simpson’s 2nd yellow at Arsenal in 2016. -

We apparently had an offer for Faes from Besiktas in the region of £8mil but turned it down. Similarly there was strong interest in Kristiansen.
There are opportunities to sell these players but we overvalue them and ask for too much.
It takes more than accepting an offer for a deal to go through and a lot more than interest. Any deal is reliant on the player agreeing personal terms, when they’re are currently earning far more than they’re worth, and him and his family being willing to up sticks to Turkey.

Is the answer to try and get our players playing to an acceptable level or to have a clear out of the players.
It won't be pretty but I think it's the latter, getting a run of form out of this squad is like putting a plaster on a gaping wound. We dont need results we need a manager to tell half this squad to find a new club.
Lovely idea but nobody wants them anymore than we do.
Winks will earn circa £2.5m from Jan to the end of his contract in June, his current market rate will need a good 2 seasons to get him that. By that point he’ll be 31 and he’s on a rapid decline as it is. From his POV it would be massively counterproductive to do that.
The same can be said for Faes, Vesty and Daka. The situation with Skipp is considerably worse.

Scott has Down’s syndrome and terminal dementia, many of you will have seen him at games (the photo is of him in Lisbon before the Porto game). His mum passed away in August and his carers have, effectively become his parents with very little financial support.
Next year will, most likely, be the last time he can have a meaningful holiday before the dementia really takes hold.
If any of you could make a donation and/or share on your socials it would be amazing, thank you.

The silver lining will be Winks, Faes etc. having their careers in tatters.

The ones who are good enough don’t care and the ones that care aren’t good enough (a few are both). 0-4 and maybe Rudkin will fall on his sword, hope dies last.
-
Does anyone know if a referee has to take a striker’s ability into account before sending a player off for denying a goal scoring opportunity? I don’t think any chance for Daka would be easy enough to warrant a red card.

£1.8m seems like a decent deal to me, I heard on the radio he's costing the NHS £13b a year.
