You can have all the three letter abbreviations and twatometers you like but ultimately it was a competitive match that ran to the final day, where the losing team hardly had their worst batting performance of the season.
-
If we win this, the most likely way we could survive, with Essex likely to pick up 3 bowling points in the final game, is we beat Warks, get all 3 bowling points and score 300+ in the first innings. Essex would then need to lose and score less than 250. Massively unlikely but you never know.

I’m not sure it was, there were a lot of problems with Filbert Street that would have been made worse by expanding the stadium. Not being able to to grow grass because the stands were too close to the pitch being one.
-
It’s ludicrous when the team we were playing posted less than 140 in both innings put together, at home, a couple of weeks later.

I’ve got a spare going as a freebie if you want to meet me at the ground?
-
20 Cullen and Burns and a box of matches please. Tomorrow we’ll be playing 4-2-3-f**cking 1.

No City game this Saturday ... so let's all support the County

I’ve got a ticket going spare if anyone wants to meet me at the ground. DM if you’re interested. It’s a freebie, just don’t want it to go to waste. -
Barnsley (A) - Sat 19 Sep - 12:30 KO - Pre-Match Thread

Oakwell was a grim place before the tv money. There wasn’t even a roof on the toilets. -
20 years ago there were lengthy discussions regarding sharing the Walkers (as was) and they went nowhere because neither side would make any concession as to what would happen if there were fixture clashes amongst other issues. I picked up the Tigers representative Matt Poole the night the talks were called off and, in short, both sides thought they were vastly bigger than the other. Niche stat, Tigers have the record attendance for a game at the KP.

The bog roll you can see just to the left of the goal was nicked from the football special train and thrown onto the pitch by me. -
Ah, I remember you, we met briefly at Fosse Park.

I’ve got a spare ticket for the final, free to a good home, meet at the ground. DM me if you’re interested.

Stockport County 3-4 LCFC - Post Match Thread

Kasper would be better with one arm. -
We’re never going to score 120 goals.
-
Way too many young players being relied on, we can’t be playing 7 or so over the course of a game in front of extremely frustrated fans. Recipe for disaster, perfectly cooked up by Martin.

Current trajectory? 1st Saturday in December I think. -

To put that into perspective Shepshed aren’t 125 places below us now. -

When we became champions of England, Stockport finished 125 places below us in National League North. Now they’re overwhelming favourites to beat us. -
There was his mum Janis too.

This model nearly sent Barcelona bust, I’m pretty sure it would see us off.

Replacing one disaster with another isn’t the way forward. Say fans could buy the club at a knockdown £100m, that’s £5k per season ticket holder (even children) factor in that the club is likely to lose £20m per year for the foreseeable which would be another £1k each on top of their season ticket cost and it’s well beyond the majority’s means. Then you would need a competent board (I know we don’t have one now but that doesn’t mean replacing them will improve matters). It’s a utopian and ultimately terrible idea.

Very few examples of this working.

Nowhere near the worst defeat but you’re right that it was probably the most significant.
