Souttar is out until around Christmas isn't he? a cheap free agent on a 1-2 year deal to provide cover would be sensible as we'd only have 3 fit CBs
Hamza could play Cb if needed and disgustingly so could kristenson or Thomas - I’d be happy if he left and we didn’t sign anyone at Cb

Has anybody actually reported that we’ve accepted £26m? Might be being dim but haven’t seen anything, only that their initial offer was £26m supposedly.
Of course not just random nonsense for people to moan about

Go and play will - I’m afraid it just isn’t going to happen for him here - he isn’t a kid anymore and he isn’t as good as people on here make out - hope he does really well

Never liked him one bit however he has been pretty good every time he has come on this year and is obviously being professional unlike bek as he is still being included in the squad - best for everyone if he went no doubt but if he just doesn’t have the suitors it wouldn’t be a disaster if he stayed as long as he isn’t disrupting the group which it seems he isn’t as he is still in the squads - no matter what we think of him - at this level he is more than ok
-
Surely brum would be all over this if he is coming back to England

Spot on. Odd the fee is being defended. Makes zero sense and feels like we've accepted first offer. Also contradicts the valuation Dorsett set out!
We have absolutely no clue what the fee is - not a scooby doo - we’ve got great money in so far this summer - stop with the negative nonsense with zero facts - if it was 30 ish with palace it will be 30 ish with this lot

One of the most overrated players we have had for some time - never got the love in at all and iv been saying the same thing for a long time - if we get anywhere near 30m for this rat we have had their absolute pants down - laters potatoes

They are both absolutely cr*p - get rid of both - the end
-
4 players and we win it
left back , centre mid , cam , forward
screaming out
-
Unlikely someone meets the asking price - I reckon he plays tonight
-
Dealt the worst hand you could probably imagine and is handling the heat pretty well - I hope he is savvy enough to see who the chancers are quickly and drain the swamp - if he can get us a top half finish whilst re setting the whole team and loads more to go in the summer I think he could be the man we trust for many years to come - massive job on his hand dealing with the mid change situation of still having lots of the swamp lot around whilst trying to get results with what he has at his disposal - I hope he does well - I like the fact after every game so far he pretty much says immediately first thing in the interview that we have played cr*p - gets my vote for that alone - I’m hoping he is the man to heal our souls

If we get rid or faes , daka , kristenson this week I honestly don’t mind us playing the kids and finishing top 10- the reset had to start somewhere and on the pitch performances were always going to be affected by that - but at least we are draining the swamp - get as many of them out as possible and start again - hallelujah

Big old media darling Birmingham vs an in turmoil Leicester- that’s the story - what a load of crap - 11 v 11 - Birmingham are bang average - this league is cr*p - no excuses not to win the game - just find a way to win and repeat

15 assists and 7 goals last season… shouldnt be spending money on anyway in their 30s in our predicament though. Everyone must have a re sale value
For a team in bottom 6 that’s ridiculous- bek wouldn’t have got that this season for us if he had stayed - no chance - great numbers for a struggling team - not to be sniffed at - for cheap money and cheap wages I’d take him

Can’t stand the guy - one of our worst signings ever - unfortunately probably still better than skipp but not as good as my mum

https://www.squawka.com/en/comparison-matrix/?compare=an-nxjltlWTVCx980DIguLooking at last season’s stats, Thomas has a better:
Passing accuracy %
Crossing accuracy %
Aerial duel success %Take on success %
More clearances and inceptions per game
The reality is, it’s much of a muchness between them.
We don’t need two left backs of a similar standard. One doesn’t want to be here, has never been overly liked by members of the squad and we can get £10m for him. Even better when you consider it’ll bring the overall wage bill down as well.
No brainer really.
We’ll have 4 fullbacks in Choudhury, Ricardo, Thomas and Aluko.
Both absolutely pathetic
-
We 100% sign 4 loan players this week - no doubts about it - I wouldn’t bet on us spending any money at all but 4 loans has to happen
left back , 2 cms and a striker has to happen
we can do without another winger - page or alves could do that job if needed if and when any of the other 3 can’t play
-
What is going on - people are actually starting to sign our cr*p players
-
No doubt it’s the right decision money wise and I agree his form has been pretty garbage but and it’s a big but just remember we are ending up with Thomas as our left back because we are selling jj and Thomas is absolutely undeniably Honking with a capital H - jj a million times better left back still and always will be - just another downgrade and reminder where we are at - grim
-
That’s got to be the worst league 11 since Alan Maybury times hast it - oh dear
-
Just go back to something that worked in this division before
Jakub
Ricky. Faes. Vesty. Justin
Winks
Bek. Page
Fat. Monga. Mav
invert Ricky

The idea is that the full backs in the offensive phase are the free men, so they have fairly crazy touch maps. In general there are specific positions on the pitch, but who is in those position is supposed to be fluid as an element of surprise. It's the Cruyff 433 we've seen over the years deployed by many teams.
However, I think your crititcsm is warranted, especially around the midfielders who have been a massive disapointment in this style of play so far. If a system is going to be fluid, so do the players! I think Marti needs to very quickly learn who can play the system, or heavily modify it and go for more fixed positioning instead.
Thanks- if these full backs are meant to be the free men when attacking you couldn’t get much worse than jj and Thomas for those positions - neither have any attacking capabilities at all - can’t beat a man and distribution is terrible - that’s one major example of why isn’t working - might be slightly different with Ricky but those 2 certainly can’t do it - at the minute it looks just as rubbish and clueless as a cooper and Ruud 433 never mind cruyff- I don’t see the building blocks or straight up ability in 90% of the players - he needs help and quickly

But I don't trust the players to even be adopting anything the manager askes.
These players don't put in any effort and unless we see transfer activity, the manager and tactics they want to play are completely mute
I don’t disagree but I also don’t see much from the gaffer at the minute - if these 3 performances were cooper or ruud they would rightly be getting hammered - we have to give marti a chance I know but I’m still a bit concerned on what I’m seeing so far

4th choice winger - no issues - get it done but get 2cms and a striker done first
