Re the fan exchange - pretty unmoved- difficult situation and I didn’t think he said anything bad - if anything the fact he didn’t know he was being filmed he actually was pretty factual and came across ok re tactics - I actually think we are pretty close opinion wise bottom line it comes down to winning football matches and the jury is well and truly out on if he can make that happen - if we see an upturn in form then he will get the time he needs from fans and club - if not then he won’t - it’s that simple in the meantime we can all keep having our 2 cents on it and it looks like we have 3 buckets across the fan base - those slightly more with your opinion , those slightly more with mine and those that just hate him and aren’t having him at all full stop

Yep that’s all fair enough and good to have a proper grown up chat - I find myself trying to balance the argument some times when it gets to negative and I really don’t like the personal stuff - I actually think he comes across as a nice enough bloke - maybe a bit of an ego but he is a professional football manager - I don’t have an issue with that but obviously he has to walk the walk if he is talking the talk iv also been very close to booing a few times this season so I’m no saint on negativity just to be clear but again trying to find some balance my stance at the minute is he needs a bit of time (which I know is difficult for many to accept) - it’s not all been bad - having to deal with the crazy turnover of players this summer that isn’t normal in any way and then trying to get over to them how he wants them to play and getting plenty of the kids in the team is a positive - I think we need to at least give him the opportunity to see if he can make it work - we play some really nice stuff at times but I also get all the arguments about the final thirds - it doesn’t feel like we really have any real penetration at one end and we are asking guys to play football at the back who aren’t comfortable with it - both of those things are on him however I do think we will see improvement- maybe I’m overly optimistic but the more the new 11 play together I believe they will get better and so will results - that’s where I stand - I know it’s a different place to you and plenty of others but cheers for the grown up chat - appreciated where are your thoughts ?

I’m actually on your side of the fence and so are plenty of others - just don’t shout as loud as some of the utter negative nonsense we currently get on here - people have forgotten how to support a team - we talked about draining the swamp with getting the players out - unfortunately that same swamp of negativity still exists in regards to how a lot of fans feel about the club and Martin in particular- I’m not a happy clapper or top lover - you don’t have to be one or the other - I’m firmly in the middle ground of wanting Martin and the team to be successful on the pitch - it’s ok to have that opinion

Unpopular opinion but I’m having it anyway that fan should be embarrassed- such a poor way to try and have a constructive conversation about the style of play and pros and cons and filming and posting it - oh dear - unfortunately probably represents quite a few I don’t blame martins response at all - some random bloke being about as articulate as a kitkat moaning about his style of play - I say again - embarrassing it was basically a full reserve 11 with loads of the kids everyone wants playing and they played pretty well for large parts - we can debate all day about the quality of final ball and the quality or lack of in the final act of the play at goal but they didn’t play terribly - the reaction is way over the top but I guess expected as it’s just another thing to jump on I get it - there is no patience for anything apart from wins - I understand it and it’s the biggest catch 22 issue we have - there is no Time for him to get it right - not in many supporters eyes anyway - I feel that to a certain extent but we should all remember that 16 utter scum bags have been removed and 15 new lads in the club in one summer and he is coaching them a new way to play - It was never going to be linear - he knows there is no Patience and I honestly believe he is trying his best im still giving him the benefit of the doubt and a Ressies game where we played ok for the most part but didn’t win won’t change that - I’m not defending everything about him and we need to see more positive results than negative over the next few months but the reaction to last night is way over the top the question remains on if that style of football With the players we have at the level we are at can be successful- can it create more real clear cut opportunities in front of goal or is it just pretty for pretty Sake - the next 2 months up until Xmas will show us one way or the other -but I for one hope he is successful and in turn we are successful - I think the players are having him and I like his interviews in the most part - now it’s all about results - let’s hope for all our sakes we start to get them starting Saturday
