Just been catching up with Monarch: Legacy of Monsters-season 2. Really enjoying it, i'm very much a fan of the Godzilla & Kong type movies and season 2 is not letting me down (about half way thru.)

    Anyone else watched?

Yep, me and the other half love it. Each episode is like a mini-movie.

    Better than Stranger Things IMO.

  2. I don’t see why people are arguing over this. We got a points deduction AND were too shit to overcome it.

Crap owner, crap management, crap coaching, crap culture and crap players are what got us relegated. It’s not one specific thing. The players don’t exonerate the management and vice versa.

Point still stands mate. Booing one of your own players during a match has never been a good thing. Whatever level, whatever stakes are being played for.

Btw my head isn’t in the sand. I criticise the team. I think Winks has been an embarrassment to his profession considering he’s fallen out with almost every manager. But whilst this was the longest shot, a win would’ve kept the season alive and we were one goal away from that. I’m just stating a fact.

You don’t know this. Some players respond well to negative feedback. Maybe a bit of anger/emotion in him would actually help him to put a shift in. Maybe, had he not been booed, we would have lost. Maybe had he been booed more earlier in the season we wouldn’t have got relegated.

You don’t know anything, same way I don’t. None of this stuff is facts. He got booed because he’s a *****, end of.

When your excessive weekly pay packet puts you on Easy Street, the motivation (hunger and desire) drops - then, if things don’t go well and you are of a certain mindset that prioritises self-preservation above the collective, practically disappears. In some extreme cases the importance of self-preservation can actually extend to sabotage.

Here’s looking at you, Brendan Rodgers - the cornerstone of Leicester City’s decline.

Yeah, but they are still professional sportsmen, supposed high achievers. They  have been ran ragged by opposition on a fraction of their earnings all season. When does pride, embarrassment, professionalism etc kick in? I’m well paid for my job, and could do less for the same money, but don’t, as I don’t want to look like a muppet.

I just find it very weird. The only thing that makes sense to me is that they collectively hate the club and management. I understand people downing tools if they feel let down or there is resentment present. But **** knows what this lot have got to moan about. If it’s the team failing that’s on them!

  5. What I will never understand is what someone who can do something well, but makes a conscious decision not to, thinks they are getting out of it. This squad is disliked and will have bad reputations forever - wouldn’t they have been better off just working hard all season?

People say it’s because the players don’t care - and I agree - but this shit show of a season negatively affects them too. They don’t care about the club, or the fans, but surely they care about their own sense of self-worth, not to mention future earning potential?

I just don’t understand the psychology of it.

I have a feeling it was West Brom and I think we were 3-0 up.  It was the weirdest thing and I agree, there was a shift in mentality after that.

Yep, 3-0 up and he’s mad because they weren’t playing like he wanted them to. Proper weird.

  7. I tend to listen to my emotions when thinking about things like this, before I start verbalising about how I feel. And, I can genuinely say I wasn’t bothered at all about the result yesterday. Did not feel any negative emotions.

I guess that means I don’t like anything about the club, which is pretty sad when ten years ago I was crying with happiness when Hazard scored.

And I'm sure that would work out exactly as intended and really well in practice. Just as it has done in the past.

...which is pretty much the most reasonable position to take given both parties involved here. I'd be interested in hearing about arguments to the contrary.

Does the man really still not grasp the idea that Iraq was the worst decision he ever made and following the Americans into Iran (or even backing it in any way) would be an even worse one?

Don’t know you if you watched the  three part Sky doc on Blair, but if you didn’t, and spoiler alert - no.

Isnt the test he has taken actually a dementia test or something? Someone figured it out when he mentioned there was a question about a horse or something.

  10. Mentality is atrocious. I know footballers are, on the whole, utter arseholes but surely they still derive pleasure from doing their job well? They’re like a bunch of arsy, entitled 10 year olds, the lot of them.

Utterly detestable that they so overtly do not care about the club, the travelling fans, nothing.

    willy pullers.
