Yeah, no. I'm not that sentimental.

So we should do what? Keep him around in the match day squad and give him the odd start whilst he is collecting his handsome wage? We are not a charity club. King isn't contributing on the pitch and hasn't done for a while now. He is 5th or 6th choice.

His time has come to move on.

If the club management feel it is time for King to move on, then fair enough. Ability wise I think they’re probably right, although personally I still feel he has a place on the bench.

However, if he is left out without any kind of fan fare or club gesture that would worry me because of Kings achievements with us over a decade of service. I think it’s often easy to forget how bad times were 10 years ago, so for King to achieve what he has done makes him the definition of a club legend. He also seems to genuinely love the club. It would be nice to give him some sort of send off at the very least.

And Simpson - not official but it's extremely likely

If true that’s worrying in my opinion. Simpson I can forgive, but to leave Andy King out with no fanfare wouldn’t sit right with me.

King is someone we were watching play for our club 10 years ago on cold nights in league 1, has always served the club with impeccable character, and has won 3 league titles with us. He deserves better and it would worry me that our club hierarchy don’t see that.

These shirts are banged out in china by the same people who use the same materials and then sell them direct for $15, nothing about highend or quality. cheap and dirty crap to make $$$

My post was referring specifically to the comparison of a Primark t-shirt and a designer label t-shirt, and in this case I maintain that most of the time you will find a difference in quality.

With regards to replica footy shirts specifically, yes of course £55 for a replica shirt is a huge mark up on an item that probably costs a few quid max to manufacture. However, buying a suspiciously similar shirt direct from the factory in China, or even Adidas, is always going to be significantly cheaper than buying from the club. By the time that £55 shirt hits the club shop you are not simply paying for the raw materials (which we know is ultimately a cheap shirt), but you are paying for things such as import taxes, VAT, the wages of the sales associates in the club shop, and most significantly-the premium Adidas have paid for the rights to sell/distribute LCFC shirts.

To be fair, how many of us choose to buy a 'trendy' t-shirt with a tiny emblem on for £30+ rather than a £5 plain t-shirt bought at Primark. Both could be argued to be the same quality of t-shirt. The only difference is the logo. It's the same with all football kits. Nothing new here.

Anyway, adults who don't play football shouldn't wear football kits.

As someone that has worked for a high end fashion designer, I would argue the quality is unlikely to be the same.

Even taking the quality of the actual clothing item out of the equation, the premium price you are paying for that designer t-shirt over a primark t-shirt covers things such as better service, product knowledge, living wage etc etc.

Im not saying one is better than the other, both ends of the market serve their purpose, and it is up to each individual to decide what is right for them. But to say the only difference is a logo in many cases isn’t true.

Haha! No, it's not. But last time it was a few weeks into the season before I finally took the plunge. I seem to recall it taking a while even then... sigh! They are so quick in dispatching tickets, wonder why it takes them so long...

I think it’s out sourced so it’s probbaly cheaper to do it en masse.

For £60 though it is disappointing to have to wait so long again.

  6. If we're being bullied then you could just as easily argue we are bullying other clubs ourselves. It's a fact of footballing life that there is a food chain within world football. Clubs know they can take any of our players (for the right money) just as we know we can take any of the Championship starlets (within reason and again for the right money).

You also can't blame players for wanting to progress through that food chain for both extra money and prestige.

What does this bit mean and how is it different from last year

'New for the 2018/19 season is a dropped points threshold for Premier League home games, meaning all Fox Members will now sit within the final priority band.'

Essentially they have scrapped the ballot.

Instead they will use priority bands alone to sell match tickets, with new members and no points sitting in the final band.

However I get the impression the priority bands have also been lowered, so more chance theoretically for those on the ball to get tickets on a first come first served basis.

Doing the rounds that we have the most expensive membership price in the league.

As above. I’ve renewed but I really do feel a bit ripped off at £60. Even the ‘free’ pen and wallet only gets sent out in October. I’m in a fortunate position whereby I don’t have kids etc and I’m in a position to pay £60, but I can imagine there will be many who simply can’t afford £60 before they even purchase a ticket.

Membership should be £30/35 max without ticket discounts.

I wonder if he'll ever play for England again after Saturday? He's over 30 and Southgate seems to be going for a younger team.

Kills me to say it but I was discussing this last night and I fear we may well have seen his last game in an England shirt. Like you say age isn’t on his side so it will very much depend on how he starts the season for us. If he starts the season well and scores a few goals I’m sure he will be called up in September and possibly feature in the friendlies. However if he has a bit of a goal drought for a month or two at the start of the season he will likely drop out of contention and will probably struggle to get back into it seeing as he’s not at a top 6 club. As we all know it’s just more difficult for those outside the top 6 to stake their claim as it is.

  10. For the magic moments, such as the goal against Chelsea, and for being a crucial part of making my most wildest of dreams come true...thank you!! You will forever be remembered at our club and I’m sure you will be welcomed back in the future as a friend.

However, he did let himself down, particularly in January, and I will probably never truly forgive the way he downed tools etc. For this reason him going doesn’t feel anywhere near as bad as how I imagine I would feel should Vardy leave.

Thanks though for the memories Riyad, good luck ??

Still no movement on this. Will be livid if they up the costs again to cover the frozen ST prices like they did last year.

If it goes up in price without a free ticket included or something similar I will not renew my membership for the first time in years on principle.

The delay in issuing membership details is a bit annoying though, especially as we are likely now to be asked for a substantial membership fee and then the first few ticket costs in a short space of time. We could have released membership details last month giving people space between having to pay the membership fee and then initial ticket costs.

  12. I think £50m is probably the right sort of figure.

However I doubt we’ll be seeing him leave this summer unless we get offered stupid money. I get the impression the owners aren’t interested in selling our star players, and having an England international like Maguire brings kudos to the club and the owners. Just look at how long it is taking Mahrez to leave as evidence of how resolute our owners can be.

Always been my arguement for games like this. But like the England schoolboys u21s etc fill it cheap then you sell more programmes, merchandise etc.

The food tho is irrelevant to the club why we are still tied into the contract mad Mandy got us into.

Fair point, I forgot the food was contracted out. But like you say the point still stands with merchandise etc.

  14. Just checked the pricing for this (expecting £10 ish). No way as a member am I paying £20 to watch a friendly.

I’ll never understand pricing like this for friendlies. I went to the monchengladbach friendly last year, literally not even a half full stadium. So why not offer tickets for £5/10 (free for kids) and get people engaged who can’t normally afford/have access to premier league tickets. If you’ve got a full stadium too I’d suggest you’ll earn much of the lost revenue back in merchandise and food sales etc.

King Power Racing bought Vintage Brut for £280k and Main Street for £300k on Monday. They've managed to beat one horse each in the first two races at Royal Ascot today!

    Doing their brains

Come on Leicester came 5th in a large field yesterday at ascot. I know because I had a couple of quid e/w and 5th paid out with bet365.
