  1. Long shot I know but I’d like to chuck my name in the hat for 2 adult tickets. If anyone can’t make it and you have two tickets I’d love to buy them and make use of them!

Will also settle for 1 adult ticket if that’s available. I’d really appreciate any help so thanks in advance.

What an amazing gesture! I'm not sure I would donate such a sum from my retirement funds, particularly as he has a lot more years ahead of him. I just hope karma shines on the big man, and make sure he's always able to earn in the years ahead.

I wouldn’t worry too much. I’m confident he’ll have enough funds in the bank for a comfortable retirement even if he never works again and lives to be the oldest man in history.

    I agree, great gesture though!

  3. A question I’ve pondered in dreamland now and again and the answer is it would depend on what stage I was at in my career.

If I was at Vardy’s stage, later years of career, won the premier league, FA Cup, charity shield and a golden boot, then I’d stay at Leicester. Finish off my career and preserve legendary status at a club I love.

But…if I was early twenties and not yet won a trophy with Leicester, it might be trickier to turn down a big move. Not so much for the money, but more the chance to win major trophies. Yes I know Man United is probably a bad example over the last 5 years but if you play for a ‘big 4’ the chances of you winning a champions league or league title are much improved. It’s that I’d want more than the money.

I know the season has barely started but I think I can guess the top 4 already ….   if you offered me 5th and a bit of silverware I’d bite yer hand off before you could blink.

Completely agree but then I’d take that every season. I get that ultimately we need champions league football to progress financially, but I never want to turn into an Arsenal type team where 4th is seen as more successful than an FA Cup or even league cup win. I’d take one of those trophies over a champions league spot (except for 1st of course) every time.

Does anyone know if there's a cap on total members or a deadline? Surely if there's too many it'll defeat the object of getting it in the first place.

I get the impression that a combination of over 1,000 members becoming season ticket holders and no doubt some not renewing their membership during Covid means there are plenty of new memberships to sell before it becomes a problem.

As said already above they have reserved the right to introduce a cap which you’d hope they would if there was a run on memberships all of a sudden.

  6. I want England to win it of course I do and I’m really looking forward to the final tonight. BUT…

I don’t feel restless with nerves. I don’t find myself hoping and praying that this be the day we finally lift the trophy. I’m fairly confident that I’ll celebrate an England goal emphatically, but it won’t be a Tielemans reaction. If England lose I’ll be disappointed, but I doubt I’ll be gutted as I would have been if we’d have lost the FA Cup final. In short, it’s just no FA Cup final feeling. That tells me it’s Leicester ahead of England.

Did tickets for any of the away Champions League matches in 2016-17 make it down to members? Thinking of buying my season ticket-less brother a membership so he might get the chance to come to European games with me! (assuming we’re allowed to go)

I take it that there is a priority point system to be able to apply for a season ticket in future?

Yes they did for a couple I think. Copenhagen definitely made it to members.

Priority points system is in place for both access to match tickets and also season ticket holder access (or at least that’s how they’ve done it in the past).

Not strictly true. Members were able to apply in the ballot for tickets to the FA Cup Final and for the last game at home against Spurs.

    You are right. But…

So no more than season ticket holders got then. Difference being season ticket holders were given their £70 payment back as a ‘discount’ on this years ticket while members lose their full £40 payment.

I did raise this with the club a while back to be honest and I got assurances it wasn’t falling on deaf ears. The club are well aware and have acknowledged that members often travel much further to get to games and on average can often end up putting more money into the club over the course of a season through ticket sales and fees etc. Treating them as a cash cow after the year we’ve had and the lack of membership ‘benefits’ would be a kick in the teeth, especially given the contrast with which they’ve (rightly) treated STH’s.
