  1. Trevaskis only needs 7 more for his highest first class score, but hopefully he can get a 100 tomorrow. Seems a good lad from his commentary stint last week and a bit of a cricket badger.
  2. Not excusing our tepid display, but some credit needs to be given to Millwall and the way they set up and their commitment. They gave us very little space in midfield and never stopped running. They were fighting for survival and pride. We can expect very similar at Plymouth on Friday. Most teams have raised their game against us this season
  3. Needs to be some sort of resolution if it's true, he can't sit out the whole season (we can't afford to pay a player and not have him play) and Alfonso has just signed a new contract. They might be able to organise a loan somewhere else, if there can't be a mediated resolution.
  4. Correct, especially this season. The whole system is not fit for purpose. If they want something like this it should be over a longer period of time as it doesn't account for the unforeseen changes that can occur over a short period of time and the impact of uncontrollable outside events on football and club ownership. The other issue are changes in the transfer market post COVID which have made it more difficult for clubs to re-coup fees to cover losses.
  5. Poor Michael Finan, could only bowl 5 overs for Northants as he went for 44, at 8.80 and over!
  6. That 119 partnership was a 9th wicket record for Leicestershire.
  7. Good batting line-up with Scriven at 9, but Wright is a big miss, not just for his bowling, but his useful runs as well.
  8. Yes, Rae said there was no timeline for him being available and it was for personal reasons, which could mean anything. Roman Walker has a bad side strain and will be out for a while, so we are down to 4 seamers, with Mulder, Hull, Walker and Wright not available. Let's hope nobody steps on a football tomorrow morning. As you say, Rehan only available for this game. Already at the point where another loan looks necessary.
  9. Photos of both of them in the nets on the club instagram page, so they should available, assuming not injuries.
  10. Confidence has definitely gone, they looked much worse after the goal yesterday. Faes did talk about not leaving because he had not been guaranteed first team football with any club that he had been linked to, you I can only imagine that he had a discussion around being first choice with the manager and to be fair he has been part of one of the best defences in the league for most of the season - we've rarely conceded more than one goal. The problem has been finishing more recently, or not shooting when the chance presents itself. Daka missed chances and wasn't brought on yesterday after Vardy's missed efforts, so the manager must wonder who he can rely on.
  11. I agree we over-achieved and it was also because quite a few teams were in flux or needed a manager change to improve. Perhaps some credit to Enzo though for taking us above expectations for so long. Tactically there is a problem now, as teams have a clear plan to set up against us; Enzo is far too conservative he needs to takes more risks. Perhaps this is due to being sacked so quickly in his only previous job. Yesterday I thought Ndidi, Ricardo and Vardy didn't look 'match sharp', coming back from injuries, so that's another consideration. He also needed 3 transfer windows to sort this squad out, which was in a horrendous mess. He's only had one, as January was a self-imposed embargo. What we needed yesterday was a solid championship player like Jason Knight to come on in Midfield, instead we have Akgun, who is a bit of a liability with poor decision making skills - do you roll the dice with him or keep Ndidi on, when he looks exhausted?
  12. Scorecard for yesterday's friendly. Will Davis is mentioned though I though he had been released. https://assets.edgbaston.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/2024-03-26-WAR-LEI-match-scorecard.pdf?_gl=1*1rm3pe4*_ga*MjA0NDMwNDMzOC4xNzExNDk3ODg5*_ga_ZHXWMN2QK2*MTcxMTQ5Nzg4OS4xLjAuMTcxMTQ5Nzg5MC4wLjAuMA..
  13. Doesn't press or block when he should and positioning all over the place. Playing like he doesn't want to get injured. All he's good for at the moment is wagging his finger as soon as a decision goes against us
  14. I'll take 1-1 now.
  15. She's the one on the left
  16. Be proud of what you have done and keep trying to improve (that mark was amazing). Focus on the positives. Being a good friend is a learning process, so don't be surprised if friends let you down now and then. Set your own standards and try to model how you'd like to be treated, some of that will rub off on others. I'm 54 now. I've had awful times in my 20s; 30s and 40s much better, but now things are terrible because of loss and divorce. However, I know I have to look after myself first and foremost and then I'm in a position to look after and be good to others.
  17. All my fault. As soon as I stopped watching on 80 mins they scored.
  18. I'd much prefer the drama of the play-offs anyway, than this dull procession. Bring on more defeats!
  19. Toyah announced on the bill with Haircut 100. Who will the other three be?
  20. A smaller event (3,5k), not the whole ground. They have already been to De Mont in October as well. Four more live acts to be announced apparently
  21. Still only 15 and playing for under 19's! I did hear he's better than Rehan.
  22. If we were Coventry - at home, 45 mins against 10 men - we would expect to win. So the result is no surprise and expected. Forget it, move on to the next game. i would have been happy with a draw pre-game because of their form and home advantage anyway, so only a point lost in my eyes.
  23. Try De Haan Centre Parcs in Belgium. It's only 30 minutes drive from Dunkerque Port, with beautiful sandy beaches right next door. A lot cheaper than UK Centre Parcs, especially during the May half-term, which I think is a different week in France and Belgium. We've been there, and to the Netherlands and four times to Lac D' Ailette, which is about 2 1/2 hours straight drive from Calais. Staff speak English and there are always lots of English people there. Also been to a UK Centre Parks, but actually prefer the ones abroad because of the generally better weather and that you can get a more spacious place for about half the price.
  24. But only a white ball contract, he's terrible in the Championship. Still only 33.
