My wife is American and I visit often.
America is hugely polarised politically, it’s like two groups of people inhabiting totally different realities that refuse to acknowledge the other, it’s utterly broken, moreso than here. Their court system is also utterly baffling, has a huge bearing on politics and doesn’t change until the justices die, don’t get me started on that…
Trump said people would still support him if he walked down the street and shot someone, I have no doubt he is right. Forget the wars, tariffs (which are taxes on US consumers), attempted insurrection and overthrowing of an election, it turns out millions will support him even after he was found liable in court for sex offences and is named more than 38,000 times in files related to a paedophile ring (that his DOJ redacted an unknown number of files from for ? reasons). He still has 10s of millions of backers, and many extraordinarily wealthy donors from all over the world.
Prior to his rise, no politician would have survived anything close to what he has been involved with.
In terms of those who haven’t voted for him.. no democrats will be defending him, and I’m sure some, if not many, of his previous voters may have now turned against him based on recent events. Particularly younger voters and those seduced by his messaging on keeping the US out of wars.
America has been polarised as long as I’ve been visiting regularly (10 years ish), but it has become more so with the rise of Trump and the influence of social media and rolling 24h news channels. I’d say it’s noticeably more divided now than it was 10 years ago. There is a big urban - rural divide, not dissimilar to the UK in that respect.

Daka has played something like 35 mins on average for those 130 appearances, I’d imagine Matty played close to 90 mins on average in all of his.
Daka is shite but so are these comparisons.
edit:
Matty scored a prem goal every 772 mins.
Daka scored a prem goal every 300 mins.
Vardy is 183 mins per prem goal for reference, and Akinbiyi is 387 mins per prem goal. So Daka is at least better in terms of scoring rate than one of our worst ever Prem strikers 🤣
Still crap numbers for a even a bit part striker (and Daka is bit part, I don’t recall him getting a regular run of games except for under Maresca for about 8 games in the Championship), but his scoring rate is far better than even one of our highest scoring defenders ever (who did also play up front sometimes, and took a few pens on occasion… if memory serves me correctly)-

Solid away draw that given our circumstances, another clean sheet is encouraging

They’re going for it now, trying to win to stay in with hope of play off spot, maybe leave us a chance to grab a winner…

Daka gets awa with so much on here just because the tit rounds around like a headless chicken
I think it’s more because the only positional rival is Ayew, who is objectively even worse.
Probably a bit late to start pissing about experimenting with a false 9

Bookies have us and Oxford down, I’m inclined to agree with them.

This was already looking extremely hairy even before today’s results, which are an absolute disaster for our chances of survival.
It really does look odds on now, not sure anyone can deny that.

My dad is a Lincoln City season ticket holder, we both feel it’s inevitable one way or another that Leicester will, for the first time in both of our lifetimes, no longer be the top ranked LCFC in England.
I have watched a number of their games this season, so well coached, a great feeling of togetherness around the whole place. A breath of fresh air compared to our shower of shite.

Six Managers since June 24 including 2 interims, none have been able to get a tune out of the players, would probably suggest the recruitment of players is the root cause of our decline. I get sick of hearing 'with the quality we have' we shouldn't be languishing at the foot of the table.
What quality ?
The squad is dogshit, we can all see it. It’s just lazy people in the media who don’t pay attention, just know we were in the league above recently. Lazy coverage, commentators role out the same soundbites every week.

60 goals conceded in the league is shocking, only Sheffield Wednesday are worse. Our attack has scored as many goals as the playoff contenders, somehow. We are in major trouble without regular worldies from James and Fatawu, who on their day are too good for this league.

Are you all ready, for Bare Goals(TM)?

Big Steve Howard in the studio. Could do with him now
I was mocked for wanting someone like Keiffer Moore here, still think he’d make us a far better side. The game has gone back towards big, physical strikers again.

He has been having ago at France and Italy after they told him to do one essentially. Just gets reported less here. France even refusing to let US pass through their airspace I think.
