I suppose we can expect to beat Fulham for instance just like we could have expected to beat Newport County.  Man City could equally have expected to beat us but didn't. From a neutral perspective that makes football interesting.  Sometimes the underdogs win and we should know.

For me the reaction to defeat on here is what shines a light on the entitlement of some fans.  The despair and aggression in a lot f the posts.  We don't just expect to win, we demand it.

This forum is excellent, I love reading both sides of the arguement there is truth in everyone's thinking in their own opinions, and we should all respect that.

Everyone is entitled to say there are reasons and mitigating circumstances why we may lose, and play badly, and it's not the end of the world, just like those who come on here to scrutinise team selection, tactics, or poor performances from the team or individuals, are entitled to say it without fear.

The unifying unentitled point is, that we all want our team to succeed, it is a fine line between enthusiasm, expectation and entitled, but at the end of the day LCFC is a great club and I suspect the envy of many, we all have alot to be pleased about going forward, and to be annoyed about in the past, I for one will remain  positive with a hint of seriousness and humour as I continue to enjoy reading the posts from both sides of the argument, up the FOXES!

I do find it strange that people are already willing to write him off after such little play time

Only times he has started has been in heavily rotated sides in the Europa League and then a few sub appearances in the Prem

We have reached December and he has just 441 minutes of play time (not even 5 games worth)

He needs an extended run of starts to get going, rather than the bit part he currently is

Agreed def more game time needed, I think he will end up doing extremely well his pace and individual skill are good and he isn't afraid to have a shot outside the box he will be on target soon hopefully Thursday night to be exact I predict 2 goals or at least assists from him.

Does Barnes really have the goalscoring prowess  to be a main striker?

He’s  missed some absolute stinkers recently.  I think he’s got it in him to score more regularly . However to convert a misfiring winger to be your main striker doesn’t strike me as the smartest move to make! no offense! Besides, then we would need to buy another winger!

Totally agree with you he has missed some stinkers and have to say if he had been released like Vardy did on Sunday, I suspect he would have smashed it straight at the goal keeper, or over in panic mode (easy for me to criticise from my warm office). I'm certain however he will get there, with time, but he has had alot of time and we should be seeing a corner turned, I hope it comes soon because he has many positives to his game speed turning etc but just not mastered the final touch yet.

  4. A moment of magic Sunday from JM, and our stalwart JV is enough for me.

However I do hope JM's consistency in games improves and of course set pieces / corners, as I would like too see him in the England squad, it is understandable why on current form he is being left out and I'm sure deep down he knows this and will give his all to get noticed.

People are allowed different opinions, I merely corrected the inaccuracies of the post. Facts and opinions are two different things.

They are indeed, and its great to have such a thorough fact checker, such as yourself to keep us all informed.
