We could try to get it to be a loan with obligation to buy and a buyback clause. It would push the fee out and sweeten the deal for Chelsea because they wouldn't see the money til next season at least. Tbf I'm just high on hopium

We make it a loan with obligation to buy for say 30-40m, moves the financials into next year, we agree to a buyback of around 50-60m and I could see Chelsea being interested

Going through different sources and numbers, his wages seem to be in the range of 100-180k. I don't know how willing he'd be to take a pay cut to something more manageable for us in exchange for basically getting all the gametime he wants

Mhh the second player to leave out could be tricky to choose. Wes can just be registered after the group stages if we advance (and he shows signs of returning soonish) in favour of someone else, given hes gonna be injured for quite a while. Dont know who else we'd leave at home though. JJ would be a shame because I think the Europa games could be used to get him back to fitness

We need to get rid of 2 more players (if you consider Praet gone already), if we want to squeeze Lookman +1 I think... So that would be Mendy and Hamza most likely. Thing is, afaik Mendy is currently injured

Yeah why not. They seem to be in a pretty major overhaul of their squad and have just lost one of their only creative wide players in Townsend to Everton this summer. One last big signing to future-proof the squad would set them nicely.

Gonna be Palace I reckon, tons of Chelsea connected players already and are currently looking into getting a winger and have already inquired about Jeremie Boga

Because Asensio is a shadow of his former self after his injury. Its been years now since hes shown any signs of that brilliance you can see in all the youtube compilations

I think it's fairly obvious as to why we brought in Soumaré. We were in a horrible position last season injury wise which meant we played Youri pretty much every minute of every game and it's a damn miracle he didn't get injured at some point. And when it came to the UEL group stages and early FA Cup games we couldn't just rely on Hamza and Papy to get the job done in the middle most of the times so we ended up subbing either of Youri or Wilf on at some point. We need this kind of quality depth to be able to compete in all the competitions this season. Europe nearly wrecked us last season and I think we did well to bring in Soumaré and promote Kiki to the first team.
