  1. If he provides as much comedy has he did on the pitch Norman Leet would be a good shout
  2. We are only obliged to keep Atgun if he played 25 games which he won't do
  3. What makes you think the weather in May will be any better?
  4. It's dissapointing that Agnew has got down that route he was very much an advocate for 18 counties a few years ago. In regard to your hideous comment I knew him slightly in the early 90s when I worked at Asda in Oadby while I was a student and he came in most weeks and he was always very friendly.
  5. Not purchased anything inside the ground since they made the ridiculous decision to go cashless
  6. Spot on how long before you need a smart phone just to enter a supermarket
  7. It's nothing to with digital poverty not all people want or need a smart phone just to function in society
  8. Wonderful player and also one of the nicest guys in County Cricket
  9. Indeed major improvement on first innings he obvs reads the forum I've fired him up
  10. Hopefully finish them off today 70 overs should be enough. Not that impressed with Currie so far don't look any better then Davis
  11. Used to like Peter Ebdon until he got sacked for speaking out about covid mandates
  12. Mark Davis who's also over 50 also nearly made it lost 10-9
  13. 15 out of the 32 over 40 how times have changed when you think Davis won his last World championship at 31 Hendry at 29
  14. Yes drink driving and smoking are so similar. How wonderful that the government care about keeping us all healthy look forward to them cutting us down to 2 pints a week and they really need to limit the amount of chocolate that we eat got to reduce the chances of diabetes.
  15. Sadly your last point is very true one of the all time greats of Indian cricket at GR last week and like you say zero interest
  16. I don't mind free tickets once in a while it's every game that I object to. Regarding initiatives I have no idea what would would boost attendances even when memberships were only £10 under David Collier in the 90s the crowds were only in the low hundreds.
  17. Most of the members who attend 4 days games just buy the standard membership which don't Inc T20 and the weekend shown that even with free tickets it don't get many more though the gate . No problem with getting schools down there
  18. Well I would be quite happy for the club to give away free memberships but don't think it would make much business sense the age range would still be the same and don't think the increased catering sales would amount to that much most would still bring a packed lunch.Agree about Richard Rae worst on the circuit by a mile
  19. He's in the 2nds squad for the game starting today not currently on a contract however
  20. It was free for City and Tigers season tickets and very few were bothered and the point remains what's the point in buying a membership if the club are giving away free tickets every game.? Would you be happy going into a chippy and paying a tenner for fish and chips and then finding out other people were getting them free of charge
  21. Surprised to hear about Kent thought they got crowds around the 1k mark.I know Derby and Northants also struggle with crowds around 200_300 but must admit thought Kent were well supported I know Essex tend to get good crowds at Chelmsford
  22. Barely 200 in the ground yesterday. Regarding free tickets would would the point be in selling memberships if the club are just going to give tickets away every 5 minutes?I had hoped with the improvement shown last year we see see an increased interest in the club sadly don't seem to be the case although it's still early in the season.
  23. In previous years would have suggested you would get a game down at Grace Road but thankfully things have improved in the last couple of tears
  24. Must admit didn't realise Scriven got that amount of wickets last season. noway big game tomorrow against a strong Sussex side although it seems Ollie Robinson will be rested which is a huge bonus
