I have a lot of friends in some of the Mediterranean countries who became fans during our PL win season. They're all still watching every single game of the team no matter if we're in PL or Championship. Some of them are also organising trips to watch a couple of home games every season. I think the impact when we won the PL and the FA Cup was big. They're all attached emotionally now and they care. All these friends are from Spain, Italy and Greece and they have a different emotional mentality. Probably it's not the same in Germany or USA.

Almost the same experience as you and I can confirm HMRC is miles better than the equivalent authorities of some other countries in Europe.
