If Scotland manage not to win against Haiti they'd better dismantle the team, quit football as a sport and focus on Netball or Knitting Championships. -
Group B: Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar, Switzerland

But we need to scare the sheep about the climate change. Even in Canada it's "45c" now and a cooling break is necessary. Do you think some of the low 20s IQ people watching the game will bother checking the actual temperature there? -

With a bit of luck South Africa will score on the 90th min and it will be all over for Mexico in this tournament. It will take an own goal though because I can't see any other away SA would score. -

Is it going to be another awful, untalented singer like Shakira? Taylor Swift maybe? -

You can also participate in the cooling break by grabbing another beer from the fridge. -

True. If they play like that they won't go any further in the tournament. I've spotted huge gaps in their defense, South Africa is just horrendous and they can't even complete a normal pass in the final third. Needless to say the quality is atrocious in this first game. -

Tbf there's nothing else on if you're just a football fan. I've muted the Mexico game and I'm watching the Spanish basketball playoffs game on the big screen and keeping an eye on certain darts matchups. -

Every single nation in the worid calls them Czechia except us. It's actually Czechia and not Czech Republic. -

1/3 of the planet qualified. In a few years it will be half the planet and by 2050 every single country. -

Is there a way to have stadium only sounds on ITV to get rid of these two commenting there or do I need to switch into a Brazilian or Japanese broadcast? -
Can we have the Japanese lad in PL Darts please?
-
Yup. That was proper Spursy. It runs in the family.

Oh no it's raining and the millionaires are scared to play. Oh there's lightning also. NFL games have been on under worse conditions for decades. "Modern" football and "modern sensitive" people in full force. Oh let's not forget it's all about Trump. And the Russians. It's their fault. -
FIFA is obliged to provide all the documentation regarding their personnel prior entering USA. Afaik they've done nothing about the refs and some other staff. I'm not surprised. I didn't expect this bureacratic, corrupt organisation to do anything right. There wasn't any profit involved for these criminals so they left the Somalian ref alone in his misery.
-
My friends payed $485 each for the 6-pack of games. Is that expensive? I don't think so. Some were paying £40 to watch Ayew and they were clapping also. They've also split the costs of a rental van.
-
My point is that everyone involved in the sport is responsible for this. From fans attending the games to the last employee. It's also undeniable and agree with you the link between the corrupted bodies of football and politicians but I tend not to comment on politics here because when I did I've got a ban on the general chat thread.
-
The problem is that a lot of you and some specific media focus solely on the political aspect. The tournament will be unfortunately a huge success. I'm saying unfortunately because I want it to fail miserably not because of Trump but because I want the sport to collapse. I don't give a F about a ref from Africa, Antarctica or Mars. He's part of the demise of the sport like all of them.
-
It's not going to be a farce. Everything is sold out. I have 6 friends of mine travelling there and they paid reasonable prices. They even rented a mini van at a price you won't even find here in UK. Not even close. Do you guys now realised the corruption in FIFA and the sport in general? I understand some of you hate Trump but your reactions are ridiculous.

So the one at the "Butchers" didn't deserve empty stadiums?
-
I was already corrected by another fellow member yesterday who reminded me that Eriksen isn't allowed to play there because of his condition. That said, If you believe it was logical to play under this serious condition I rest my case. For me it's bonkers and it seems that Italians were absolutely right not to allow him there again. I also don't quite understand what you mean by this wasn't supposed to happen again. Does Eriksen have some special agreement with God or he thinks he will live forever because of the fitted device?
-
I completely forgot he wasn't allowed to play in Italy. Makes things even worse considering there are different rules elsewhere regarding the same serious medical issue. Tbh if I was a footballer I wouldn't be comfortable playing against or alongside Eriksen knowing his medical problem. How can you even tackle or put under pressure a player like this?
