Can we sack 1/2 the squad along with the manager?

I disagree. We’ve seen “too talented to go down” teams go down in the past. Finishing mid-table with the squad of underachievers who believe they are God’s gift to football would be quite the achievement given the current situation. Add that 10 point deduction coming our way, and we are 23rd on the table. Going down is absolutely a possibility, and probably likely. A book should be written about the epic mismanagement of this club.

Wow. Already 2 pages of people ready to ruin their next weekend before this one is even finished. Admirable, I think.

Need to hear Rick say exactly how I feel on a BSLB pod, because that has become my therapy. This club is utter dross.

If this is the best we can play, then our squad is butt cheeks at best. However, I fear it is worse than that. We have the most arrogant squad of League One/Championship level players who just assume they are better than league average. And they play like they just don’t care. Why is this our culture?

The guys from Second Tier (the championship football podcast) ended the show today by telling everyone to keep Abdul in their thoughts, and wished him well as he comes back from this injury.

Honestly, what’s the sense in showing up on match days? To cheer the 25 minutes a match they actually try to play decent football? Such a waste of time.

Top - Doesn’t care. Rudkin - Doesn’t care. Rest of the Board - Doesn’t care. Is it any surprise that the overpaid, contracted players with literally nothing to lose, jog about each match day without a care? The whole club is rotten.

Lol, fair. But for real, what do they do all season when they don’t have matches? Because it sure as shit isn’t anything worthwhile.

Do they actually practice anything at all during the week?

Is Luke Thomas color blind or does he just prefer passing to Hull players?

I feel this deeply.

A competent DOF should have been flushing this amount of turd through the many windows they've remained in the toilet that is LCFC. It's not like this lot is a new problem of underperformance.

I understand that the life of a manager is heavily weighted by "what have you done for me lately." And with that, they may not want to make squad/starting XI changes that greatly rock the boat. That said, it is insane to continually play the same players that have let the club (and the previous three or so managers) down time and time again, expecting that things will now be different. Marti has got to have an a-ha moment in the near future, and make wholesale changes in the matchday squad, or we will be stuck in neutral in perpetuity.

Not a bad shout, but at least at the Championship level, I think he could become useful again, perhaps reinvigorated by an influx of youth and hunger playing around him. Weird that they thought it wise to extend his contract though...it's as though they have no ambition of returning to the PL.

We all know that there is still a ton of dead wood on this squad. Extremely poor mismanagement from the DOF/board/Top himself have brought us here. And the harsh reality is, some of that dead wood we are absolutely stuck with until the contracts run out, bar some other club's DOF gets a raging case of dementia and taking on one of these players. That said, if LCFC are to be considered at all ambitious, there is no reason the following players should see the pitch again in a Leicester shirt. Wout Faes Jannik Vestergaard Victor Kristiansen Oliver Skipp Bouba Soumare Patson Daka And yet, week in/week out, they are on the match day squad, and more shockingly, in the starting XI. Get these players out of the match day squad, lessen the roles of Ayew, DCR and Winks, and let the rest of the lads battle it out on the pitch. We lack passion, and overpaid, arrogant has beens getting paid far too much for their level are not going to dig us out of the hole we're in. End rant.
