Why is Top running a mile an issue? People need to see him for what he is - fed up with people saying about the need for diplomacy, its got us nowhere. Him staying there achieved nothing other than Top thinking hes fronted up.

Say directly to him 'sell the club'. Let him know the strength of feeling. Instead apologise for swearing.

If the players do really care about the club they won't have anything to do with this. They will do though, getting rather fed up of hearing from them saying they dont know how its got like this. Albrighton at it every week.

That is probably completely correct- brendan had a three year cycle here and that's about what he does everywhere. But im not sure what he said is different to what any manager says - maresca said it after 6 months, guardiola says it every year and even Ferguson did (not saying hes anywhere near that bracket). The club should have either cut their losses with Brendan and let him move on - Newcastle came knocking 6 months prior and the club begged him to stay. He'd already rejected Arsenal. So hes within his rights to ask for backing when hes being told he needs to deliver a top 7 finish. He'd already buried Congerton by that point. The club should have either backed him or sacked him. They did neither - thats on the club, not Brendan.

That tackle on Watson was awful - i dont think I've ever seen a rugby player roll around in pain like that either. Must have been bad but he was walking around with an ice pack on it at the end so hopefully not too bad. Illione and Willians aren't far off being fit.

Erm...if you think so. There was an entire chapter dedicated to how lucky they'd been in the unbelievables book, written by someone I know pretty closely and I agreed with every word. Played a lot more for Shrewsbury. It's part of the problem with the system. Look at most of the young county cricketers coming through and the vast majority will be from fee paying schools. I hope that changes over time and the counties invest more in it.
