I agree with most of that. It's still early June and there is some breathing room to get this right. Rushing into the wrong appointment (like cooper) would be a disaster and the club has to be thorough. But the extremely concerning part, and where this whole thing feels off, is the alleged lack of communication with Ruud. If he's been left completely in the dark, that’s not just unprofessional, it’s disrespectful. Imagine being him. If all the other candidates say no and the club comes crawling back, how is he supposed to feel? That’s a terrible message to send to any manager, let alone one who might end up staying. For the record, I really want Ruud to go, and I don’t think he’s done anything to warrant the job moving forward. But the disrespect is mad.

Sorry if already posted… did anyone read the statement to the fans by the Plymouth Owners after their manager forced a move away? IMAGINE if our club were as transparent as this. A very interesting read. https://www.pafc.co.uk/news/chairmans-chat-may-2025

Tweet deleted due to the sheer amount of HATE!

I was adamant that we'd breached because I knew we'd lost more than was allowed.. and we now know that is true hence why we've been charged!! Nothing for clicks. nothing for bait. There is absolutely 0 benefit to me posting 'lies' on twitter.. If someone messages me with info, I like to share it because the club dont speak to the fans!!! Sometimes stuff if wrong, sometimes its right. This evening someone messaged me that Martin was confident of getting the job and in the last couple of days thats changed. On top of that, tanner has said that the chants at bournemouth wouldnt have gone unnoticed ! If you dont believe what I say or post then that is ABSOLUTELY fine and really dont mind hahah. But to say im doing it for clicks is just not true unfortunately, again, I like to share things that people tell me because the club dont speak to us! that is the sole reason for my post. Take care dude

We overspent in the PSR period ending 23/24. So we broke the rules. No charge was brought in January for whatever reason. Now it has! Stop moving the goalposts! Theres a reason that near on every journo and finance expert thought we would breach.. its because we were OVER our allowed losses. Now its caught up with us.
-
good point!!! hahah!
-
Yeah you'd imagine so! Rob Tanner said the other day The fan chanting ‘Russell Martin is a willy puller’ at Bournemouth will not have gone unnoticed.
-
That was wrong! Dont care about clicks on X fella!
-
we were charged for a PSR breach about 3 weeks ago fella in case you missed it! Trust me we give no shits about clicks on X as it doesnt help our youtube channel out in the slightest! When someone who I believe is well connected shares info, I like to share that onwards as I'd hope others would too!!
-
Hahaha! yeah I'd say the majority of the fanbase would be buzzing to hear that!! F*** knows whats gonna happen, we're in a managerial limbo!!!
-
You realise we have breached right? hahah! Im not saying its true lmao, im just saying someone who is relatively well connected has told me Martin was confident last week but not so much now!
-
I've been told by someone (relatively) well-connected that Ruud van Nistelrooy is expected to leave soon. Russell Martin was feeling pretty assured about taking over last week, but that confidence has apparently dipped. Club feels all over the place at the moment.

We did a poll at the end and Rohl won with 66% of the vote. The options in the poll were Rohl, Martin, RVN and Rosenior.

A shameless plug. Removed if not allowed. This morning we went through the three managers named yesterday by Rob Dorsett to offer a *little* bit of insight into each one and their history.
-
If he won the first 5-10 games people would forget they said he’s a willy puller away at Bournemouth 😜
-
😂😂 unfortunately not mate. I think he’d be a good fit for the club and our current squad. But there’s no doubting that he’d be starting on a BIG back foot as our fans all hate him 😂

Oh sorry I said I had two random messages in my DM on X on 3rd May saying Martin to Leicester had legs which I found random! not convinced by the reliability of those two people though! My personal belief is one of two things are happening: 1/ RM is all ready to replace ruud but they’re sorting out severance package. 2/ they had planned on bringing in RM but they’ve had seconds thoughts due to the sheer amount of backlash from fans in the stand and online. both possibilities in my mind involve RM one way or another as the club have liked him for quite some time! He was seen as the eventual replacement for Brendan but things changed when we were relegated and he went to Saints.

What do you mean my source? I haven’t got a managerial source. all I’ve said about Martin is that I wouldn’t mind it!
-
the difference this year is we were relegated in April, not on the last day of the season! They've had nearly 6 weeks to put a plan in place and are still twiddling their thumbs!

The release clause is rumoured to be around the £21m mark. https://x.com/sachatavolieri/status/1919457738163179909

Same club that didn’t want to pay £3m compensation for Corberan 🤦♂️
-
Yeah I’ve said already that I’d rather Rohl. But I don’t think the club want to pay compo

Fair points, I genuinely get where you’re coming from. If things start rocky it could turn toxic quickly. That’s the risk with any manager who brings a distinct style. But I’d argue that sticking with no style or trying to please everyone leads us nowhere – which is exactly where we ended up last season. As for the Premier League I agree it could get nasty. But so could any other appointment. There’s no “safe” choice that guarantees success in both leagues. You either roll the dice on someone with a plan and back it properly, or you just keep reacting and firefighting.

James Justin. Luke Thomas. you could be on to something.
