Second half I’d probably agree. But that was more down to our ineffectiveness than their quality.

Terrible decision. Mavididi scored a cracking goal but other than that he was wasteful and surrendered possession far too easily, especially in the closing stages of the game.

People on here coming for Casadei and Yunus when I’ve just watched Kelechi Iheanacho literally WALK for half an hour. Absolutely hideous decision on the 2nd penalty call and an equally hideous decision to bring Iheanacho on for Daka. At least with Cannon you get an effort level. Can that cnut fly to AFCON early, don’t want to see him in the shirt again this season. Effort and application is a non-negotiable.

You’d assume so. My hope is that we get the ball to Abdul as much as we can early on so Davis is having to defend and becomes reluctant to leave space for Fatawu to exploit. Make him realise early just how quick he is and hopefully that gives him second thoughts about bombing on and possibly giving us an opening to take advantage of.
