  1. 1000% for me. The bare min is effort and I don’t think Kelechi has even bothered to show that on multiple occasions this year. Hopefully Daka has got the bit between his teeth now and gets his chance. Because with him, at least you know you’re getting his all when he pulls the shirt on
  2. Maybe I didn’t word it the best or it was misunderstood. You mentioned that Plymouth came with a game plan that suited his style? Watching Daka before LCFC that would be a high line from a back 4 leaving loads of room for Daka to run into. Instead, as I said, he was man marked and followed constantly by their centre half, which in turn created space for others to utilise. Hence the chances for Ndidi first half and Mavididi. I then agreed with you regarding his goal where Daka was the one to take advantage of the space in behind, however I thought in todays case, he did a much better job of creating those spaces for others which Enzo has already said is the job of the striker in this system. I wasn’t sure Daka had the capabilities to do that, as I saw him as very much in the Vardy mould (rapid, best running away from defenders rather than linking the play), but happily he’s clearly worked at his game and looked to be very comfortable today.
  3. Suited Daka’s style? Watch Daka before LCFC, this didn’t suit his style at all. His style is playing on the shoulder of the last defender and running in behind, very much in the JV mould when he was at the peak of his powers. Daka didn’t do that at all today, he was followed everywhere by their center half for the entire game, dropping deep and dragging Plymouth out of their defensive shape, creating space for Ndidi and Mavididi to run beyond. Being completely honest, I do rate Daka and think he goes somewhere else and scores goals, however I did have my reservations about how capable he would be doing what Enzo and this system requires of a striker. Today he proved he can do it and he was actually highly effective. The goal he scores was pretty much the ONLY time in the game it was himself that was able to exploit the space behind Plymouth and he did so with aplomb. I hope he plays Wednesday and does well again, and I also hope that he gets the same amount of patience that we have shown with Kelechi this season who has, quite frankly, been abysmal. At least with Patson we get someone who you know will do the hard yards and work his nuts off for the team. The interview he gave after the game shows the sort of professional he is and I for one hope he goes and seizes his chance.
  4. Gets absolutely caned on here by some, unfairly IMO. He hasn’t been great, admittedly. But there’s a player in there and I hope Enzo can develop that and he can show it in a Leicester shirt. Kids 20 year old, as well. Perspective needed.
  5. Struggle to see how Enzo watches this today and he doesn’t start next week? Been night and day from the toil and struggle of the last few weeks, I can’t see Enzo not identifying that, surely?
  6. Daka from the start again next week please, Enzo! Fantastic today.
  7. Cigar time. Put these to the sword now and make a real statement 🦊
  8. Now that, that’s f****n’ superb. Daka, get in son.. 🦊❤️
  9. The last line of this post is absolutely spot on. This is what is expected of a striker in the way we are attempting to play. Wingers and midfielders running beyond the striker creating overload situations is the aim, and Daka creating those spaces is allowing us to do exactly that. Playing on the shoulder and running in behind (arguably Daka’s strongest suit) isn’t what you’re going to see playing this way.
  10. He is, however, you could argue that it’s because of the way the Plymouth centre half has been instructed to deal with him. There’s no doubt he’s taken up positions that have created space for other players to occupy and play in that Kel/JV haven’t managed in recent weeks
  11. Hermansen has had a very good half for us there aswell by the way..
  12. 100% agree, no coincidence the chances we’ve had are Ndidi/Fatawu/Mavididi running beyond Daka as he’s dragged their centre half miles out of position and created acres of space.
  13. It always seems to be Ndidi we get in the best attacking positions, and as excellent as he’s been this year, for me, he’s still very low down on the list of players you’d want those chances/opportunities falling to. Another one there, that’s probably 4 or 5 today already.
  14. Can’t tell me he’s not as good / better than Mavididi…
  15. Mavididi with that flick there, absolutely shocking. Rightly getting berated by Faes for trying that shite in there.
  16. SHOOT MAN FFS!!!
  17. We’ve got to switch back on here, christ. Lost all rhythm and have let them have a foothold in the game through our own mistakes (again).
  18. Wasn’t an easy chance tbf to him, keeper on rushing and a very tight angle. He had work to do to score but will be frustrated not to.
  19. That pass from Winks 🥵
  20. Heart was in mouth there, keeper gets his fingernails on that! Come on now City, ramp it up a couple of gears here! 🦊
  21. Take ANY fee we can get for him and re-invest in a creative 8. Give Daka a run and have a proper look for a striker in the summer.
  22. MARESCA MASTERPLAN
  23. “Terrible today” - Terrible this season.
  24. I honestly don’t know if Kelechi is extremely lazy or just extraordinarily thick. I cannot make my mind up which it is, it’s probably both tbh. Shocking again.
  25. Fatawu been superb since he came on!
