  1. And the one touch layoff for Vardy to score, from a long ball from Fuchs? To this day, I consider it so good I can't believe it was intentional!
  2. Maybe that was the message they were getting. Not being football savvy, they deferred to those they thought were.
  3. As an international viewer, I'm not getting the credit card out to pay for an 'early bird' season pass until I get a little more of an idea as to how many games I'll actually have access to. As it stands, I'm more inclined to take my chances with streams being available.
  4. Ditto. So far so good but I think there's still a number of permutations to be played out; 'if this then that' scenarios that will arise as time passes and be resolved (or not) We're balancing finances with squad requirements and I reckon this means that everyone has a price tag that, if met, will cause other actions to come into play. The recruitment team have probably got a zillion different plans of action mapped out according to who's next out. A very fluid situation indeed.
  5. I think Bott has been subdued in her role for NZ (compared to how she is given licence to maraude forward for us) She's classed as one of NZ's key players but tbh I think she has, for her, been disappointing which I can only put down her not being free to play her natural game.
  6. NZ looked to me to be a team trying to play a style of football they're not comfortable with. In Wilkinson, they have a player that is strong and direct and yet they seemed to want to isolate her. But really it's a 'well played Philippines' due. Their energy and enthusiasm meant they controlled the middle of the pitch (after a nervy start) and NZ were just too ponderous. I must admit, after 10 minutes I thought NZ were going to walk it.
  7. The second season has a different feel and tempo to the first. It's less about frantic restaurant prep etc and more depth to the characters. It works and is excellent imho. The longest episode (the christmas dinner one) is simply brilliant; among the best TV you're likely to see - gruelling, harrowing, uncomfortable... and compelling.
