  1. how can a goal celebration look good or bad? I sat in the family stand yesterday, what's the suggested celebration to get the maximum respect on social media? Do I go mental in my seat doing limbs so the kids in close proximity get a delightful elbow to the face? Do I jump forward over my seat to use my 16st frame to bowl out the 2 old boys in front of me and whichever non-combatants have the joy of joining in in the next 4 rows as we keep falling forwards? Or maybe bash all the families and the mascots out the way as I charge down the row so I can run down the steps to be held back at the front by a 78 year old steward? And I would say if you were watching the family end for their reaction as the goal went in it could be argued you're in fact part of the problem and not a load of families enjoying a day at the football. For what it's worth today was better, considering as the Stoke fans were poor, which I certainly wasn't expecting after I heard they'd took over the Globe and O'Neils before 11am
  2. Dizzee Rascal tonight in Nottingham
  3. fairly sure they brought a huge load in the FA Cup in 2003 when they were in the 3rd tier. remember the Hind, Wyvern and Barley Mo all being absolutely rammed with their fans before the game, was winter and they were spilling out drinking outside due to the numbers and the Ale Wagon had even locked their doors because so many were about.
  4. oh i've read it alright, you sneered and you know you did. we'll leave it there but in future just accept people do things different to you
  5. your comment to the other poster most certainly did. how dare other people have different routines that don't match yours. when i take my nephew we go for a breakfast before a few pub visits, by half time he's hungry again, i'm not going to tell an 8 year old they have to wait or wet their pants because I don't want to miss a single second of the football
  6. can't believe the snobbishness of this post tbh. how dare kids want something to eat
  7. mental
  8. If I'm on my own I go down around 33 minutes so I can firstly get a beer without queuing, see some mates for a chat and then have a beer with some family and discuss future away games. You can watch all the match on the screens without listening to idiots yelling whack it forward, and have a couple of pisses, enjoy your beer and get back for the start of the second half. Very much doubt the players are concerned about me going for a beer.
  9. you don't, you stay and then go for a pint
  10. Always, especially when before KO and half/full time which this photo looks like. always assumed because it was close to the exit tunnel and they can get into either concourse from there quickly if needed, and can also cover both stands
  11. I sat in those exact seats for about 6 seasons when we first moved ground and they have always been there, the odd games they also had the police with them filming for some bizarre reason
  12. no but feel free to wear one, along with training tracky top. strictly no alcohol though
  13. the away fans are probably in the correct area for a number of reasons to do with policing etc, so agree doubt they'd ever get moved
  14. the 'kop' was supposed to be the loud end when we moved to the KP, that's where I sat when we moved, and it was alright, but nothing great, and over the years got worse. was never sure why they put the family stand where they did next to the away fans. maybe it was a plan to get the place more sterile and family friendly and not rocking like some would like. who knows
  15. honestly mate, I've been going for years, I'm in my mid 40's, I know lots of different groups of fans and I can say I don't know one that uses this forum, never mind will go online to look for words to football songs. just different generations I suppose, but it's where we are
  16. how would I have read a whole 149 page thread? The Harry Winks song on Sunday was a prime example though
  17. or maybe try keeping them a little simpler? again, not a dig, just an idea
  18. that ain't going to be anytime soon, and why do we need to have the club say where some singing section can be? granted, it ain't the simplest thing to move people but ain't also impossible. but just my thoughts, can carry on moaning for another 100 pages if it makes people feel better
  19. Some interesting comments above, and around and around we go. I'll never coat any of our fans for trying to support us, but has anyone ever thought that maybe, despite what some seem to like and enjoy, maybe ain't the way the majority want to support our team? Said before I've sat all round the ground with differing experiences, and weirdly I've found the family stand much more lively, loud and entertaining. Why? we could go round in circles all day long but to me the "support", and the way they "support" is much more "normal" and spontaneous than how I look at what goes on in the SK1 singing section. As I said above I have no problem with anyone trying to improve things but it ain't for everyone, and without being rude to everyone, there is a lot of people on here that think it's the ultra sk1 section or nothing. I've seen multiple posts on here saying the only solution is to go to SK1 and join in, but maybe the majority don't want that or they would have done that already. End of the day there are loads of people that have done this for many many years, we/they/us/whatever aren't ultras and don't want to copy a style of supporting a team that isn;t natural to us and is just copying european fans. I, for one, wouldn't ever be contemplating bouncing whilst swinging a scarf or top around my head in unison, but at the same time never coat those for doing so. Also those that get coated for goading the away fans I'd never slate either. Just different groups doing different things. Solution? Is there 1? do we go for another 100 pages saying the same thing? I thought Blackburn was an interesting one, and maybe something we could learn from as a whole. Do we bin some style off or as I'd like, maybe a bit from each. 2nd half there were 3 Asian lads down the left who pretty much started off all the songs and got it going. How?, all helping each other out for starters so more joined in, but also by keeping it simple. Maybe a little bit from everything is the answer. UnionFS for example have stated, I believe, they don't particularly want to be stood next to the away fans in L1. Anyone thought about going in K1 and then working with the lads that create the atmosphere in L1 can get things going from there? Both can get singing together, both then doing what they wish, either the more ultra way or goading the away fans etc but working and singing in unison, rather than against each other. Just my thoughts off that cuff reading some things above, but when we moved to the KP and decided to have a "kop" away from the away fans, it was bound to go wrong atmosphere and people really do have to realise just because it's still called that, it'll never recreate what we had at Filbert Street.
  20. I go costa del sol often and know a few of the looky lookies and often joke about them having Leicester tops, last season one thought it was hilarious to just shout Leicester Shitty at me They all were aware of Leicester though and especially Jamie Vardy
  21. And quite often if you're in the family end, they are singing something different to L1 and SK1
  22. Only missed Liverpool and Norwich as I was away on holiday, been every game other than them, and I'm only a member with shocking points. Where there's a will there's a way to get tickets
  23. I was towards the left behind the goal at the back and thought the atmosphere was really good all game, certainly better than Southampton the other week. Only gripe I had was 2 absolute bores next to me droning on moaning about wanting it hit long to stop them pressing, had to go stand elsewhere.
  24. Cheers in now 👍
  25. Did you get an email as I haven’t and now way of entering it from what I can see. You got a link to see if that works please?
