Do they give the lower as well if demand there? I'm tempted to risk this going to members to get the point
-
I think you’ve got completely the wrong idea. I’ve no problem with what anyone does, I stand all game myself and sing. My point is that those pushing for the most raucous atmosphere, jumping up and down all game, waving a scarf around their heads for 90 minutes will have a completely different view when they are older. I stood all game against Sunderland and walking down the steps at half time and full time my knees were shot to pieces. Not a chance I could jump up and down on the spot all game. Same with those lads in the future, and like I said, some may have different priorities by then, kids, birds, whatever. There’s a good chance in 10-20 years there’s a new lot of youngsters coming through with a completely new way of thinking and these very people who see olders as being part of the problem maybe well looked at in the same light by the next new breed.
-
I didn't say you did... but other people who push your exact same cause did
-
as if they are going to want to jump around waving scarves for 90 minutes when they are over 35 years of age, some might even have birds and kids
-
hold on, the Preston game there was a rant there were a load of stewards sat at the front. get your stories straight otherwise each weeks different moan just seems daft
-
laugh at her, i'd like to see the police trying to nick you for laughing. she got laughed at at the Hull game....
-
Now we’ve got to a 75 minute exodus 😂😂
-
I’m wondering why you listened to her in the first place and didn’t laugh at her as well. It’s no doubt the same woman who was telling people she was recording them in M1 for the Hull game, too which I laughed my head off at
-
Because they are wet wipes and have no idea. Fair few do it for that reason alone and can’t believe it’s never even been mentioned and people don’t even know it’s a thing
-
I would like to point out there are also people who leave to get out of the way before the away fans leave in fear of it kicking off. That sounds stupid but lots of people haven’t got a clue and think they’ll be trouble when there most certainly won’t be
-
Might not be the same ones as they came from further back when I saw them at the Preston game
-
They’ll never move the away from where it is for a number of policing and safety reasons
-
See this is the crux of it, I presume you are in sk1 every game by what you’ve posted, as with some others who are there and only there and have actually no clue, and I don’t mean that rudely, about other parts of the ground. hull, cov and Sunderland were all superb away ends to be fair to them, which you don’t hear in sk1. Weirdly I also heard sk1 better in the family/west stand corner than being in k1 or m1 so I assume the ground acoustics playing a lot into where the sound travels edit - my reference to the kop being dead is an overal view of the whole end, which most people in the singing section keep moaning about it
-
Agree with all of that bar the last bit, but I was closer to their fans in k1
-
Spontaneity is what it about, like the 3 Asian kids at Blackburn in the 2nd half starting pretty much all the singing. Sunderland didn’t need any organising to have a great away end. plus my comments about the kop, said it many times on here, it’s dead, it’s gone and people think that will change because we had a decent kop at filbert street. End of the day the best atmosphere will only ever be created if the singing fans are close to the away end. awaits the next home game when all this shit comes around again
-
really had to work hard for that.glad to see we can dig deep when needed
-
sat in there a few times and decent towards the away fans, in fact really good. was towards the west stand for the stoke game and it was what you'd really expect from a family end, families enjoying the day out so can't fault that section either although I won't be in that bit again
-
away fans have always sang that fire drill song ffs, anyone thinks that was a mass exodus before 90 minues needs to wobble their heads. Yes people left, west stand more than anywhere but can guarantee on here by tomorrow people will be claiming 50% had gone home on the 83rd minute
-
This is the only thing that would make sense. People hanging on to something called the Kop trying to recreate what was the Kop at Filbert Street, with most never even going to Filbert Street. Makes me laugh all this 'move to the kop' stuff. why? there's 30 or 40 people jumping up and down waving scarves and flags in front of you, surrounded by loads of happy clappers who have no intention of joining in. If people really wanted to join in with all that they would have. Personally, why not just have a load of people singing without the added 'ultra' stuff, it ain't our culture or history and you ain't going to get loads joining in, or it would have happened edit - must say, the first bit of this is replying directly to Gamble, rest is just in general
-
deluded, I was in K1 tonight and decent noise coming from L1 and surrounding area apart from a weird lull after we scored. As mentioned before I sit in different parts and being next to L1 was just as loud as being next to SK1 for the Preston game, if not better. Without doubt they were the best fans we've had here all season and also contributed to them drowning out the family end next to the away fans

I'd rather walk, looks like a morgue on wheels every time we've overtaken them -
it's a saturday 3pm KO in one of the best cities in the world, why would you want to drive? get the train and have a great day out on the lash watching us destroy yet another championship team
-
weren't bad being at the back in the middle, but f**k me, why do we have so many twats moaning. top of the league, 1-0 down to a fairly decent goal (again) and prats trying tell Enzo what he's doing wrong and should be pinging it long to the wings etc. yeah lets moan and call for something different instead of trusting the manager and team that's won 13 games out of 15. seriously, stop going if that's what you bring to the table
-
obviously didn't try and get a beer in there then

I'll be pissed if it gets to members as it'll be another away point I've missed, but really did expect these to fly
