I don’t know. I think they have a good a team as Newcastle and West Ham in my opinion. Another thing to look at is how often we are playing a team who is in Europe the game directly after they play midweek. Often has a big impact. I don’t have time currently to have a look but I imagine we will have a few of them.

It’s a long season! Luton won 6 and drew 8 last season. (26 points) with a squad that is mid table quality in the championship. Confidence is a lot in football - only takes 2 wins on the trot and you can be flying and suddenly get 10 points out of 12. Not every team in this league is as good as Spurs and Fulham You know !

Essentially - in every 4 games we play from now on, We need 1 win and 1 draw. And can afford to lose 2. Anything else is a bonus. But I think at that rate it should just be about enough to survive

I have to say I’m genuinely shocked at the incredible negativity on this site about literally everything. Supporting a football club is up and down. Good times and not so good times. Look at Man Utd, when did they last come close to winning the premier league - let alone actually winning it. After all those incredible years under Sir Alex. We’ve just won the Championship and got promoted at the very first attempt, which no one expected. The only top player we have lost is Dewsbury Hall - which was essential to meet PSR rules. There is still the best part of 2 weeks to sign new additions (I expect a few on deadline day as this is when you get the best value) We have one of the best training facilities on the planet. We have a manager who is very underrated by many on here. Just a few years ago he was being talked about as one of the best in the business, with links to top clubs. If we do go down, he will be essential to keep as he has proven championship experience. Our squad is already premier league quality - we never should have been relegated and were way too good for the championship. Cant wait to come back on here Monday night when we put in a top performance and come away with a point - will the negativity still be here then? Not so sure.

Some serious overreactions around. Our squad is a premier league squad already. It never should have got relegated and it was way too good for the championship. We are a bit light in attack currently but that will get sorted out by the end of the month. i think most of the negativity is because of the impending points deduction and the poor pre season. You will all be in for a shock Monday evening. We will be quality on the counter with mavididi and fatawu, while winks has a serious point to prove. I fancy us for a 2-2 draw

The more I think about it, the more I’m against this signing anyway. Palace fans don’t seem overly bothered about getting him back. Some saying he would be a ‘super sub’ and that he’s past his best. He couldn’t find much form in a poor Turkish league. Galatasary fans don’t like him, he’s always been pretty lazy and doesn’t track back etc. might upset the dressing room with earning about 3 times more than anyone else. Think we need grafters who will put 100% in all game if we are to survive.
