The only reasons some owners of football clubs are bad are if they are using the club to whitewash their ill gotten gains (Man City, Chelsea, Newcastle) or using it to serve their wider business interests by extracting value (Man Utd, Rangers).Ours are neither.
Don't blame owners for footballing decisions. Neither Top, nor Vichai for that matter, had much knowledge of football, their role is financial and in that respect they have transformed the club.
We have good owners who genuinely want the club to do well relying on people who know about football to actually run it.
The hard truth is running a successful football club is difficult unless you can throw billions at it without consequence (Man City, Chelsea in pre PSR days). The reason winning the premier league was so amazing is that is was so astonishingly rare for a club like ours.
Talking about the manager, tactics, players, signings is part of the appeal of the game but public chants of personal abuse is demeaning and destructive and sets an appalling example to younger people in the ground.
I am not saying we should cheer poor performances or clap the team as they get relegated, booing is fine in my book, but unless our owners are openly extracting value for their own gain or perpetuating barbarous acts keep your criticism to the decisions they make that you disagree with rather than chanting for them to go.
