Just checked for streams, apparently the match is on Dazn for those who already have a sub for that. -

Line up screams "oi board, back me" that is a mental line up -
I reckon we get alleyne on a loan, obligation to buy on promotion, with a 20m buy back clause. Similar to what they did with James Trafford. We have been linked and being in a team that seeks to dominate will help him rather than being in a more chaotic championship team. He was badly found out last season when he was recalled so clearly has a lot of developing to do, and he's 21 years old, which is crunch time for a burgeoning professional cb. Don't rule it out.

For any fans stuck out in spain, have a white sangria, tatas bravas and some legal greenery to take the edge off 🙏

He's not rapid but his movement, timing and desire to get to the ball is excellent.

I take all of your points on this and agree, we need re-enforcements and prioritising experience and gems we can grow in value to sell on. Unfortunately, the priority is to sell our 4 centre backs and thus that is an area we need to address once that has been sorted. So, realistically, we may only be able to get signings in on deadline day in attack. There is also the sale of the club, which may force an embargo during this window if it were to progress quickly, or that the ownership will be reluctant to pay transfer fees when they're organising an exit. This is why I feel a sense of relief we seem to have produced an orthodox number 9. But yeah, not disagreeing with you on what we need.

I don't think Opoku, Evans or Hutchinson are ready. Expecting Opoku to be sold, Evans and Hutchinson to be loaned once we have recruits.
-
I would say Daka would've cocked that up because he wouldn't have been in position for the header. I can't remember the last time he entered the six yard box.

Agree on this. It's a shame Danny Ings failed the medical because that would've been great to have mentor for him. But with a lack of new english poaching strikers in this country, kirstin is standing out, looks like a player who has been produced in spite of an academy system addicted to producing number 10s. (I think this is why Jake Evans is not being considered for Centre Forward but thats for another thread).

I think the way we are setting up, the False 9 would hinder our goalscoring opportunities. I don't think we need a player to overcomplicate that position, operate as a poacher, link when we need to and be in the right place for the final ball. He is taking on that instruction really well.

Right lads, I know it's pre-season, but he's scoring against increasing standards of opposition (3 in 4 at time of posting). I am seeing really positive signs that he has the physicality, movement and instincts to become a top level bags man. He is consistently finding himself in goalscoring positions and giving himself the maximum opportunity to score. He is constantly on the move, looking to link the play with the AMs. He also has an extremely encouraging habit of not wandering away from position, staying between the posts and not getting drawn into a press that means when the ball is turned over, he's not out on the wing like Patson Daka constantly found himself in over the past 4 years. Feet on the ground of course, but if we have to start league one with him up front, I would be okay with that.

On evidence so far i am really pleased seeing our midfield look so composed. The defense situation needs sorting because okoli, nelson, faes and souttar are not going to be here. Otchere looks the real deal, great movement and had an instinct for goals.
-
Same with Jakub and Caleb 😂
-
Otchere might be the first striker since vards who actually plays between the posts. Keep him for this season. Really well taken finish.
-
Alves and Braybrooke are telepathic, it's wonderful to see
-
What is the point in having wide players hugging the touchline, baiting the press to trap us inside and then continue to try to play through when everyone is being man marked centrally? Please Russell tell me there's an instruction going to the players on that stuff PLEASE!
-
Jake Evans with an absolutely awful challenge and causing a scrap. I see the rooney comparisons 😂😂😂
-
Wouldn't mind some of these cadiz psychos in our squad, all over us like hives, love it.
-
Why pay 20£ to listen to a pissed up matt elliot drool over the microphone when you can have the glorious marching powder fueled official la liga commentary for free 🙏
-
You know who ****ing loves a pre-pack administration? Mike Ashley 🤮🔥

Financial Times. Paper of record. King Power will be out by the end of the season. Get ready for US Hedgefunds and Cam Newton to become a co-owner.

Oliver Skipp (loaned to Charlton, official)
RichardGearman replied to moore_94's topic in Transfer Talk
Olly Skipp is the one player i think we won't be able to move on because we need to book at least 15mil to break even. I don't see any championship club paying that fee. My guess is it will be a loan plus wages with obligation to buy at 10m in the next season based on performance. The stumbling block will be what those performance targets are. My suspicion is leicesters preference will be playing 50% of all games, but then thats up to how good he can be in the right team. I don't think he is anywhere near an upgrade on Hayden Hackney (future england international btw) and if he flopps, we miss out on a transfer fee altogether. A team may prefer only signing if they secure promotion, but then that significantly reduces the type of club skipp can sign for. If McCarron can negotiate an exit that covers all basis's then that is seriously impressive because, unfortunately, Olly Skipp has not progressed as a footballer in 5 years now and entering his mid-20s, is not going to improve much further. One of the poorest leicester signings of the modern era and it's not his fault. -
20 mil plus 4mil in performance bonuses implies there was a bidding war for him. Highest fee paid for a player in league one. Helps us immensely. Great player, no doubt he will go to a super club in the not too distant future.
